LSU or PSU

What do you mean it can't happen? I recall about 7 years ago there were 3 undefeated teams going into this week and 2 of them lost. Tennessee went on to play a one loss Florida St. in the Fiesta Bowl.

What if:
UCLA beats USC
Colorado beats Texas
LSU beats University of Georgia Athens (that's what UGA stands for right?)

Would LSU play Penn St.? Or would USC still squeak in over Penn St. ala Oklahoma a couple of years ago?

but theres a diffrence there, the voters wont allow USC to stay infront of psu in that situation. no one would want to be responsible for kepping joe pa out of a national championship.

If it were flip-flopped, then, and LSU were on the bubble. Would a one loss USC play Penn St. for the title? I bet they would.

Think if USC got beat they still would have chance to go just like Oklahoma a couple years back. But if not, think LSU would go.

If that all happens, it would be USC/PSU in the Rose bowl. computers don't like LSU...Computers love PSU. Computers Love USC, and so do the voters...If both USC and TX lose, who'd be no1? my thought, USC still. TX would drop because Col. sucks out loud....PSU would get no. 2 and LSU would get 3.

USC is in no matter what...trus that.

Agreed. LSU would make a good story, but nowhere near JoePa. I'm sorry but Paterno captures far more attention than LSU anywhere outside of the south. Paterno is a hero to the northeast US media and has to be easily the first pick behind USC and Texas to play in the Rose Bowl.

AJC's Five Overrated BCS teams article this morning:

2. LSU. Rule of thumb: You're probably not deserving of the No. 3 ranking if you're one of the few teams Tennessee managed to beat this season.

That Arizona secondary must be chocked full of NFL level talents, I presume?

I am not arguing against USC with one loss ahead of a two loss team like Ohio State or Notre Dame.

Just the thought of Penn State and Ohio State in the National Championship game makes my stomach churn.

I too think USC could lose and still be #2. Remember, you have a media darling from a state of 34 mil supporting this claim. Also, the Big 10-12 or whatever they're called, needs to have a playoff game as does the SEC and end that kind of n/c speculation.
