LSU playing a ton of freshmen....losing badly

Until we start winning battles up front, I could care less how skilled our skill position players are.

Who mention skill players?
Our DL held up well and actually got to Driskel in the second half.

Our OL is young and not very good. Especially in protection.

Go find me the drive where UF had taken it down the field and scored on us previous to that.

I ll wait.

Yeah it was obviously youth that caused us to drop back after we had run 3 first downs prior before we tried to pass to kill a drive that would have likely put it away.

I know you didn't mention it. I'm only mentioning because of all the disappointed people on here. I guess that I was one of the few that was cautious going into this game, and it was because of our atrocious OL. Losing today didn't surprise me.

They moved it quite well when they took Driscol out.

But yea, sitting on a 9 point lead, good strategy.

And the one we deployed worked great.

UFs only shot was UT shortening the field. We obliged.

What we tried got us beat. Ill take my chances with what was working.

UT played poorly for the majority of the game and still took a 2 score lead into the 4th quarter.

Im not gonna say it was really a surprise to me either in a way. But UT had control of the game no matter how ugly it looked. That had as much to do with UF being bad as UT being good.

Les Miles should go to Michigan if offered the job. LSU looks like it will be rebuilding for a couple of seasons.

If he leaves LSU it ll have more to do with the SECw than talent. Michigan is no where near ready to compete either. Its just easier to do it there than LSU given the strength of the west.

Yes, forgot we wre some 10-2 powerhouse last year.

I think this is where some of the confusion may be.

I dont think anyone is suggesting that UT is anything more than mediocre (at best) going in to that game. The other portion of the equation was a UF team that Ron Zook would be ashamed of.
