Black eye for Miles and LSU. That's really shameful.

I agree

However I'm not surprised at all with Les Miles. I was more surprised Charlie Strong compromised what he stands for and what he preaches just for some wins. LSU on the other hand, no shocker. They lost so much from last year they were sure as hell not booting this kid.

Who cares?

Fulmer should have done more of this and we wouldn't be sitting around praying for seven or eight wins.

Even if the NCAA hands down sanctions and penalties, LSU won't fall as far as we have.

heres the vid it really is a ***** move and he was on probation when this happened cant believe he didnt go to jail

Video of fight involving LSU RB Jeremy Hill

Wow, that is pretty bad. He should definitely serve jail time. And I am disappointed with les miles, but I wouldn't be surprised if his hands are tied. Les seems to usually be a high character guy.

Um, nope, just yesterday the judge put it back into the hands of Les Miles. Before the day was over, Hill is back on team. :zeitung_lesen:

Hahahaha, what a joke Les Miles! He put the decision in the hands of the team- Right! The decision was already made. This should score double in the Fulmer Cup.

There could be boosters behind the scenes dictating what happens.

I'm sure he's a pretty stand up dude when he's not sucker punching drunks at 2 o'clock in the morning or coercing 14 year old girls into sexual acts. You all probably would have made the same decision as the judge. And props for Les Miles, too, for being selfless and letting the team decide his fate. What a saint. :)

Several times this summer, Miles has publicly complained about the current SEC scheduling format, where some years LSU has to play Alabama, Florida and Georgia too! So unfair.

Who's the dude that came up and hit him in the back of the head? How crappy is that?

The sucker-puncher was the no longer suspended running back, Jeremy Hill. He was on probation at the time, so you know what THIS means ... a little bit more probation. :whistling:

I'm sure Les gave him a stern talking to, that will set him on the right path.

Gary Patterson seems to get it at least:

Gary Patterson: Jeremy Hill's return to LSU 'doesn't teach life lessons'

After the Hill news broke Monday, TCU coach Gary Patterson touched on the players' vote aspect of Miles' decision when asked about Hill by Dallas area reporters. Patterson said he never considered putting the suspension of Fields up to a vote and is not considering such a vote now.

"My whole team would vote Devonte to be back on the team because they all want to win," Patterson said. "That doesn't teach life lessons."

This article gives a little more detail on what Patterson had to say on the matter. It's good to see that some coaches have a little more gumption than Miles, at least...

TCU coach Gary Patterson not a fan of LSU voting on discipline - ESPN Dallas

"I'm sure if it was some opponent they'd beat by 100 points, [the players] wouldn't have a vote," Patterson said, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "It's not my worry. I've got to play whoever they put on the field."

Letting teammates vote on whether to reinstate a playet is ridiculous, at least on issues like this.

Certain internal issues I could see letting players vote but this is pathetic.

He no more let his players make this decision than he let you and me make it. Of course Hill's teammates want him to play; he's their best back. Miles is just using this as a BS excuse for not taking any action.

I'm sure Les would be lenient on a man if his daughter was forced to go.down on some guy or his son was sucker punched and beaten....I mean he did say they all knew he was a good guy, what does he consider a bad guy??
