Barnes said on Friday the issue for James is not a concussion.

“He just got hit," Barnes said. "He had a little cut above his eye, in the forehead.”

LSU is coming off a 70-67 loss at Alabama on Wednesday and dealing with injury questions of its own. Forward Darius Days left the game in the first half with an ankle injury and guardXavier Pinson missed a third straight game, dating back to the knee injury he suffered against the Vols.

What besides a concussion could be keeping JJJ out?

If Pinson doesn't play, that helps, a lot. Days and especially, Eason will be a problem, but Pinson lit UT up last year, when he was at Mizzou and that last game for LSU.

Edit: well apparently, Pinson only had 9 points (shot 50% from the field and 3's) and 7 assists before he got hurt. Seemed like he had more points, but still, that's a damn good game for your PG, imo.

That Murray kid is also tough to guard. Elite physically, strong, and able to get to the rim.

May have needed stitches/couldn’t stop the bleeding during the game if it was a cut? Idk I figured it was a concussion as well, but strange they wouldn’t let him back in the game.
