LSU Storms Field. Is ESPN Outraged??

ESPN has built up UT all year. Roman Harper was first on the bandwagon predicting a 10-2 season before a game was played. They’ve had UT front and center every week since the Florida win. The “ESPN hates us” and “refs cost us the game” mantras are for losers. This program has moved past that. That’s my thinking anyway. Folks can rep how they want I guess.

Listen to ESPU on XM almost every day. There's lots of talk about the Vols and most of it is positive. Compared to previous years, even last year, it's kind of shocking but then again not really.

I feel like TN has been media darlings this season.

LSU rushing the field for Ole Miss was kinda lame. Doing it for beating Bama at home for the first time since 2020 to take the lead in the West was acceptable.

Did LSU fans tear down the goal post & cut them into small pieces then throw them in the river? I don't know, I only saw them storm the field!

Rivalries will be rivalries ..... Remember the old movies like Dean Martin/Jerry Lewis and such where the student body actually stole the rivals mascot before a big game, etc.
Storming the field is nothing new, the problem comes in when there are physical altercations and innocent fans are injured. In today's society friendly rivalries are a by-gone era. Remember its only a game .... respect others, and nine times out of ten, that respect will be returned.

Anyone who thinks ESPN has it out for the Vols is dumb. It felt like we were America’s team after the Bama win. If ESPN truly hated Tennessee Hendon wouldn’t be a Heisman candidate right now.

When I was in BR for the game, several LSU locals mocked “Well maybe you can beat Bama now”, like they had some domination over Alabama. That was their first home win vs the Tide since like 2010.

I don’t think or care if ESPN hates Vols (actually they want to make cash) but it’s there LOUD AND CLEAR attempt to control political and social issues by using sports. By ever estimable saber metric THAT IS A LOSING PROPOSITION!

They probably really meant it though 😂 they really hate Alabama and want everyone to beat them 😂

So, I saw where LSU was predictably fined. What I missed were the 5-6 belittling stories about it from ESPN.

I'm certain LSU will be treated the same as Tennessee in the media.....right?? Right???

For the record, I have always been skeptical about an ESPN 'bias' against Tennessee, but more and more I do believe there is something cultural at ESPN that skews stories against us. I have no idea why, except there might be bad blood since we failed to be thrilled when they actively campaigned for Woodson over Manning - leading to that insightful 'trailer parks' comment.

But anyway, has ESPN blasted LSU yet?

What's the deal w/the constant victim-seeking behavior w/so many of our fans???

Non-stop w/some of these crybabies.

When Brian Kelly sits at his desk at LSU,you can safely bet that ESPN has some one under it.

The ESPN employee doing to him what happened to Commandant Eric Lassard in Police Academy? I always knew ESPN was a bunch of these, now you just verified it.

Yeah, so? Herbstreit also went on and on about how great the atmosphere was. Couldn't stop talking about it, and was very complimentary. I took Fowler's comments as being in the same vein, but if not, eff him anyway, who cares?

The only negative stories I saw were about the fundraiser by the AD. And frankly, that was a little deserved.
I'm still surprised Chris Fowler was allowed in the stadium!
