Lessons learned

1. The portal is now part of recruiting. We don't necessarily have to fire a position Coach because they missed out on an elite high school prospect

2. If a commitment never posts an announcement date, We shouldn't place one on him

3. If Ryan Callahan says we got a prospect, or even if he says he has a good feeling about a prospect, it is an absolute lock.

Might want to Sticky this. I have a feeling it will be needed many times over.

Boom!! What a job by this staff and our NIL this past month. In a world of the transfer portal we were able to retain our elite pass rusher, dynamic playmaking running back, core group of offensive linemen including one of the best centers in the sec, and our young talented wide receiver/secondary group. Furthermore we upgraded at wide receiver, tight end, and now bring in an elite offensive tackle with 3 years to play.

Or 5 in two classes might be a better way to look at it…either way we’ve had a good two year run in recruiting when the portal is factored in to the equation
