I have it on good authority that AP said your main residence is the football forum and we should all avoid your comments as if the they have the ability to spread stupidity like COVID-19 circa March of 2020.Seems to be a weird trend right now of whenever you want to say something absurd/negative you simply put "AP said" or "AP hinted" in front of it without any actual link to a podcast, post, etc of AP's.
Almost as if all these "hints" and statements simply don't exist.
Also, AP said I'm the best poster on this board and the rest of you are trash unfit for Vandy's board.
Much of the fan base & local media seem to think Heupel walked into Tennessee 1998 when he was hired. He sure didn’t. No 5 or high 4 star OL is considering a program coming off 3 losing seasons in last 5 yrs & major NCAA violations pending.Idk? I think this may be more of an issue of having a couple lost classes. When Pruitt was fired it was a dumpster fire, stink was still on the staff the first year Heupel was here. We didn’t bust through and become a contender for elite players esp olinemen till the year we made a run and got ranked 1 for a short time. I think 1)those Oline positions are probably the most sought after and heavily contentious recruitments 2)those guys usually have long standing relationships with the staffs recruiting them and 3)once signed most kids aren’t contributing till year 2 or more likely 3 after a few years in S&C.
I think AP possibly Hubbs also pointed out Abeln struggles at landing the TE position; I may entirely be attributing this to the wrong person also as there are so many I follow on it. Shortly after we land the #1 TE in the portal, now have a 4 star TE committed early in this class. Maybe just maybe the stink is starting to fade from the dumpster fire we’ve had for the last couple of decades moreso than CGE not being able to connect with kids?
Doing forget the coaching Merry Go Round. Prior to CJH, 4 non interim head coaches in 10 years. Yea that would be a place I want to play where coaches only last on average 2.5 years…Much of the fan base & local media seem to think Heupel walked into Tennessee 1998 when he was hired. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it was someone like @MarcoVol or @EdEcEko77Any guesses on what his screen name is on here?
I don’t think that’s the case at all. Most fans don’t want to hear excuses. TN shouldn’t have issues recruiting elite talent, including linemen. I have confidence in Heup - time will tell.Much of the fan base & local media seem to think Heupel walked into Tennessee 1998 when he was hired. He sure didn’t. Lane is not recruiting high school well. He’s turned to the portal for a lot.I don’t think that’s the case at all. Most fans don’t want to hear excuses. TN shouldn’t have issues recruiting elite talent, including linemen. I have confidence in Heup - time will tell.
There are examples of coaches coming into a school and recruiting well, including the portal. Ole Miss is tearing up and Lane hasn’t been there long.
True. I was referring to the portal. I still think recruiting high school is the way to go and fill certain spots with the portal. I’m confident in Heup and will take him over most other coaches.Lane is not recruiting high school well. He’s turned to the portal for a lot.
Probation? That’s like a slap on the wrist. I don’t mind him but he can’t seem to beat BamaTrue. I was referring to the portal. I still think recruiting high school is the way to go and fill certain spots with the portal. I’m confident in Heup and will take him over most other coaches.
I’m not a Kififn fan, just making a comment. I’m in the minority but thought it was a good thing when he left TN after 2009 season as he would’ve had us on probation. Just my $.02.

Comparing the first 3 years of each. And Heupel took over a much worse situation with the NCAA stuff and only 57 scholarship players in year 1.
Kiffin had like 10 million minor violations. I‘m not a Kiffin fan either. In fact when I hear his name mentioned, I have a tendency to go to Food City for more mustard.True.
