LSU vs Texas A&M

Seems like the next logical rule tweaking would be to require the team on offense to score a TD after maybe the 4th OT??

This has to be one of the highest scoring games at least, or close to it.

This also kills any outside chance LSU had of getting into the playoffs, and may well keep them out of a NY6 bowl bid as well.

Lol, the Nevada/UNLV game started over 2 hours after this game and when this game ended, there was only 5:00 left in the N/UNLV game.

Seriously? LSU wasnt going to be in the playoff hunt.
LSU had no business being in the playoffs, not the best in their division let alone the SEC... they are a year or two a way, but this kind of ends up being a big loss... getting to 10 wins to me was actually more important. New week.... same ole SEC refs.

The one call I really couldn't believe was the spot on 4th and 18.

Not likely. But were OU and UGA both to lose next week, you would create a discussion about whether a 2-loss LSU (whose only losses were #1Alabama and now top-10 UF) could rightfully be ranked behind a 2-loss UGA, if they were one of the latter’s 2 losses.

Wouldn’t LSU being at that place in the rankings also likely push out OSU from any potential discussion as well? (With that OSU loss to Purdue)

Depending on how other games had gone this weekend, and of course the conference championships next week, they might have had a less then 50% chance of sneaking in at the #4 slot, but that would have required Notre Dame to loose today(didn't happen), and for everyone else above them to not only loose today, but also most if not all of them to loose next week as well. For reference, of the teams in the CFP rankings, #4 Michigan, #7 LSU, and #8 Washington State all lost this weekend.

FG kickoff kind of like penalty kicks in soccer. Start with a 35 yard FG and back up 5 yards for each make.

Unfortunately OSU would have jumped LSU. Hopefully OU wins and keeps them out.

Not sure that would have required a Notre Dame loss, honestly.
