I just don't see how anyone could guarantee a win at this point.

Yes.

Our O can't get any worse
LSU's D played terrible against ASU
We have a knack for playing better after losses...remember UGA last year?

Milo said our D line is spectacular.  Buddy, did you watch the ASU game?  They were waltzing right through our D line.

I can't even begin to make an accurate assessment of how my team is going to perform Saturday.  There's so little hard evidence to go by, due to weird circumstances.

One way or another, we'll see you when you get here.  Who here is going?

I'll be there. Will be a pain in the ass getting there & back but I will see this win in person.

Drive to Houston Saturday morning. Catch the Houston alumni bus to Baton Rouge. Ride the bus back to Houston after the game and drive back to Dallas.

:yahoo:  :yahoo:

Like you're so sure.

On the negative side, our O-line sucked

I don't think they sucked half as bad as UF's O Line did...

I agree. We got to Leak 5 times, Wynn was a non factor.

Meanwhile, they sacked UTs QBs only twice (once when they had the game all but won), Riggs and Foster had almost 100 yards rushing (mostly in the first half).

I fail to see where they sucked though.

We just didn't play 4 quarters of football. Plain and simple. The team that was playing in the second half didn't seem like the one we saw in the first half. Same with the UAB game.

I don't think Ainge ever got a second to plant his feet and throw. Our o-line needs to try and hold their blocks for a few more seconds at least, our QB's seemed like they were facing way too much pressure to play effective ball. The only reason there weren't that many sacks is because all of Clausen's passes are quick, and Ainge can move pretty well. Still, the o-line needs to hold better IMO.

I'll agree with that to a certain extent. Another reason they didn't have much time is because UF wasn't worried about us running the ball anymore.

A couple of times, it seemed like Ainge got happy feet when there was not any real danger. Plus, and I'll have to watch the replay if I can digest it, I think he was holding the ball too long. I could be wrong on that one though.

I don't know all in all, it just wasn't our night.

It still bugs me because there were sooooo many things we did, and any one of them could have won the game for us.

Give the ball to Riggs more.
Better return coverage.
Hold on the o-line just a little better.
Keep Ainge in.
Call more blitzes.
Not go for the fake.

The list goes on. It just kills you, when any one of those could have done it.

I voted no.

I don't think we'll learn from the mistakes of the Fl game.

We'll continue to play 2 QBs. We'll continue to use a 2-1 pass/run ratio.

We'll continue to keep the ball out of our greatest threat's hands (Riggs)

while trying to develop a passing game on the fly.

I think the Vols win.  They rarely stink up the stadium two weeks in a row.

Didn't we just accomplish this feat???? Now we are going for 3 in a row!!

My thought is that talent-wise, we have an excellent football team. The question mark, at this point, seems to be the coaching. Every team has strengths and weaknesses, and right now, we are forgetting our own.

If we avoid STUPID mistakes (and we had enough of those on Saturday to last a season, or at least to ruin one), can establish AND KEEP dominance up front in the running game, and can get an ounce of consistency from the QB and receivers, we can certainly win this game.

But, to "guarantee" a win in Baton Rouge seems to me as blindly homer as a pick could be. Were you guys watching the same team that I was for the past few weeks?

were officially sticking with ainge.

one thing you guys seem to take for granted. do you jsut think becasue we are road u-dogs we can just beat lsu. no it will take more then that. the lsu team is incredibly skilled in every way. it will take an outstanding game to beat them. i think we will stop them on d.

mark my words, this game is in the hands of erik ainge.

with that being said i voted yes.
