Lunardi: 2nd team out

They didn't hurdle Texas; they hurdled Arizona because of their completely awful loss to Arizona State.

Yeah Arizona dropped to the "next four out" group and subsequently bumped everyone ahead of them up a spot.

No harm done bleedingTNorange. I appreciate your posts and your passion. (obligatory no homo) :hi:

so arizona dropped to next four out, and tennessee was in the first four out right?

like 30 minutes prior they were also in the first four out, but were behind texas. how did they get above texas?

thats what im confused about.

They must not have updated their webpage yet.

Last Four In
Xavier
Northwestern
South Florida
Colorado State

First Four Out
Texas
VCU
Oregon
NC State

Next Four Out
Miami
Tennessee
Saint Joseph’s
Dayton

BRACKET MATH

Take the “solid” at-large candidates (current Tournament Odds at 90% or better) and there are now 34 teams in the field. Add in the remaining automatic qualifiers and that’s another 20 spots. All told there are 54 of the 68 spots accounted for, with 14 still up for grabs among current “Bubble” teams.

Texas is now the last team in according to Lunardi. By the way, it was shown JUST before the beginning of the women's game.

yea that was from early this AM, it has changed quite a bit throughout the day.

i know the last i saw tennessee was #2 in the first four out group, but apparently we have moved ahead of texas, and are now #1 on first four out.

AHHHHHHHH!

i get what you're saying now, a little slow my bad.

arizona was in, the loss bumped them out and texas got in. we were second behind texas and now move up because they go in...

thats huge.

thank you for explaining that!

I know we still have to do our part AND the committee still has to choose in our favor, but it's nice to see at least a few dominoes fall our way.

absolutely.

tomorrow could be a nerve racking night, im about to look and update the offiicial games to watch thread.

if any teams teetering on the edge were to lose we would then be bumped in tomorrow night

Except for seeing both my vol bb teams dominate. Try and count the number of times dear old Mr. Stallings chews his gum, while not grinning at the insanely bitter sweet commentary he is forced to bark out!

Kevin Stallings - Tennessee 68, Vanderbilt 61 (
(post game vandy)
:lolabove::eek:lol::lolabove: btw I count 172

Lol, Where is he, in the hallway? It looks like he's on the verge of a freak-out a couple times. And yeah, he's chewing the hell outta that gum.

My post was more of a shot at James Franklin and his comments after the celebration in the football locker room.

Vandy football should be used to losing to us by now. if they're tucking those things away then that is a lot of baggage to haul around

I've just got a good feeling about it. I feel like we'll make it. Man, what a great year. Hardly anyone believed we would be here. It's about time Tennessee athletics starts having some good luck.

Yeah, doubt anyone in the tournament's beating UK. Would like to get to the finals and 20 wins to seal the deal.

If Davis catches 2 quick fouls against someone that can make UK pay, they would have their hands full. I watched bits and pieces of the Florida-UK game, and when Davis was out Young faired pretty well. If you go back to the UT-UK game in Knoxville, I think they got Davis in some foul trouble and were able to turn that into a lead for 30 minutes. The trouble is getting those two fouls in an SEC gym with an SEC officiating crew. If you know what I'm saying ( if I had it, this is where a link to the end of the 2010 SEC championship game would go)
