As I look at all these social media sites for recruits, I have to wonder if anyone is teaching humility. What happened to the art of being humble?

@CannonVol80 does anyone have a 2018 roster? I googled for 2018-2019 and could only get returning players - or worse, one site showed Kort as on the roster this year! Who are the incoming freshmen, are they already on campus? Thanks in advance.

Edit: big question...are they here and practicing with teammates?

The four freshies are on campus. Lou Brown hasn't arrived yet. Last I heard, she was completing an internship that was a requirement for graduation. I think she is expected any day now.

Jackson, Cooke, and Horston are all taking official visits next weekend to Tennessee.

I wish they were visiting on a big football weekend, just to see the atmosphere, but I like that they are all coming together.

Rogers and Hayes are taking officials in October I believe. MTSraider06

Brea Beal 6’0” Wing Rock Island Illinois. #12 2019 has a final five : Duke , Illinois , Louisville, Michigan, South Carolina. Take her off the list. PRG

Jackson has been here on an unofficial correct? Wasn’t that during a big women’s basketball game (was it Texas it wasn’t she unable to make that one and came on another unofficial)? I know either Jackson or Horston wasn’t able to make it to the game when we played TX last year with that crazy environment and that’s when Amani Bartlett committed. It says a lot when a player comes on their own dime and has built a relationship with coaches. Hopefully in the case of Jackson it pans out😁 also I think we have recruiters like Hayes, Westbrook, and even Massengill seems personable along with Zay green who i have heard is always laughing and loves to dance and have fun. I wish they could have seen a football game! But these three gave us an official visit and have been on an unofficial visit on their own !
They all have five total visits so ....
. Let’s see how it goes ? 🤔

Horston went on her other two visits as well when it wasn’t football season. She visited UNC last May and UCLA in June I think. Maybe they r actually focused on b-ball and not the glamor and glitz and getting to know coaches? However, those football games and the environment are crazy awesome and can be quite persuasive.

Horston & Cooke ( The Ohio ladies) There are rumors that they want to play together??? Ohio can offer both as their scholarships are many ! Plus they should get more playing time almost immediately! Going to be interesting!

Ohio has also got verbals from Rikki Harris #24 & Jacy Sheldon #46 (Hoopgurlz).... Wanting Horston #8 & Cooke #10.... That would give them their own Fabulous Five!😁

They are headed to South Carolina next weekend and then to Uconn! Don’t know if they will decide soon after or later ? Teenagers.... you never know what they will do? 🤔

Lanetta Williams #36 (Hoopgurlz) 2019 & sister Lanyce Williams (Arlington Tennessee) announce their verbal commitment to Memphis !

I watched her in the state tournament last year. Don’t see the ranking as accurate . Very thin build and not too aggressive. But at 6’3” or 4” ??? A good get for Memphis. It makes sense as they live on the outskirts of Memphis !

You never know when a kid is going to have that moment when they realize their talent and start to execute at a higher skill level! I just did not see Lanetta play at a top fifty level ! Could have been a bad game for her ??

I watched Olivia Nelson Ododa play in a Christmas tournament against Riverdale. Riverdale physically took her out of her game ! She was not strong with the ball and Riverdale made her way play 15 feet away from her goal . But Geno got her and should develop her skill levels? I don’t see her contributing any time soon ? But time will tell ... 🤔

the question that many of us are now wondering about given the recent upheaval in the roster/recruiting is "wonder who the LVs may now hope to get in late on" as happened last year.

They are going hard after Endyia Rogers, Horston, Cooke, & Jackson. While it’s September, & things can happen, but those four are the remaining targets for 2019.

Is Zia Cooke a possibility? I thought I read somewhere Tennessee was in her top 5. Of course I could have read that incorrectly.

So as of now we will have 10 players to start the 2019 season.

11 players. Lou Brown was cleared to play after getting her Visa issue taken care of. And yes, we are im the running for Zia Cooke. Cooke, Jordan Horston and Rickea Jackson were all on an official visit last weekend.
