LV freshmen who made an impact from day 1

Maybe the question should be, why do many LV freshmen have an excellent first year and never reach their full potential? a la Angie B. or Basharra.
Great beginning but not so good ending.
Strickland was good until she was moved to the guard position for se.
I thought the same decline would happen to Jamie when asked to move to the four.
Basharra played the five way too much also.
Yes,Sir! impact on day one and no-pact
on day two.

Angie's best year was as a junior. She was hampered senior year by injuries. Not sure what you mean with Shekinna since she played PG her first two years, and she hit her peak her last two years when she was moved off the ball.

Bashaara's game never improved as much as it needed to from her freshman year to her senior year. She was still good as a senior, but she added very little dimensions to her game in four years. She was never going to be a legit WNBA player, but the coaching staff didn't really do much with her.

We remember Glory rushing her layups (missing) throughout her freshman year. but she was a superior athlete . Bashaara developed her outside shot her senior year although but seldom demonstrated that ability and she was undersized . IMO she performed well throughout her career by playing within her strengths.

Izzy was (also my opinion) developed her skills year by year significantly and were she not injured ..... we'll never know.
