Lady Vol fans as hard as it is going to hurt, get ready for our orange hearts to bleed. After watching the play of the LV last night against Vanderbilt and matching that play against the remaining schedule we the team will loose 6 out of the next 11, ending the regular season under the mark needed for the tournament. Review it yourself and if you see different please post your analysis: It hurts but here it is:

Kentucky - Loss
Miss. St - loss
Alabama - win
Texas A&M - loss
Vanderbilt - loss
South Carolina - loss
Ole Miss - win
LSU- win
Alabama - win
Georgia - loss

Being a fan of the lady vols is a wonderful thing in all sports, and the thread wasn't intended to dismantle a love and respect for the team. The comment listed by ladyvolfan4ever basically shows that whomever they are they didn't take the time to look at the remaining games. If you believe realistically that that the LV are going to win all all those games you do not understand basketball. Whomever the person is they must spend more time analyzing trolls than the actual sport.

You write with such certainty. Did you think we were going to beat Oregon State and Missouri? I doubt it. But we did. This team has shown they're capable of beating good teams. And capable of losing to bad teams. This season has been a roller coaster and I wouldn't be betting on when we're going to win or lose.

The Massey site predicts 5 losses for the remaining games. Even with 6, I'm not sure that definitely disqualifies them for the NCAAT. It may depend on how other SEC teams do and where the Lady Vols end up in the overall conference standings.

Then there is still the conference tournament. Go very late in the tourney and it helps their case.

Last, if it is a toss up between the Lady Vols, and say Georgia, for the last SEC team that gets in, I think the LVs get the spot based on history and reputation.

Once again I respect you opinion but to say that we will play in the tournament " LVs get the spot based on history and reputation" is not reality.

Lady Vols will beat Kentucky and Miss St, Georgia. They will lose possibly to someone they shouldn't, but I think they take Vandy again and will play SC very close.

If Holly doesn't eventually let them "loose," they definitely will continue to lose on the floor, lose respect around the country (already happening) and lose the fans!

I would say the next two games a key games we need to win one of them. I still see six more wins regardless and a 18 and 11 record which will get us in the NCAA but a low seed.

I think we beat Ky and MSU. Those teams don't have major 3 point threats and they like to run. We are a much better team when we press and run. Its the teams that slow the game down and make them play a half court set that i worry about.

Agreed. Massey has the Vols ranked #32 based on wins, losses, opponents, and margins of victory/defeat. The AP poll has the Vols ranked #18 because the human factor is added in. A lot of the voters will keep the Vols ranked artificially high for the same reason Duke has been in the polls for so long: history and reputation. These same voters will make sure the Vols and Duke are both in the NCAA tournament, but probably as 8/9 seeds.

Maybe be can jump on KY in the first quarter and just run out the clock for the last 3 qtrs? That strategy worked against Vandy for the last qtr so it should work for 3 qtrs!
