No, your saying its wrong to decide that things are wrong for people to decide and that a more elitist view is needed because the people are stupid. That's the same view I have argued and seen amongst most of those that are arguing for this whole case. The people don't care if they are gay, they just don't agree that redefining marriage because of a few is something that the people want.
It's funny, I could of sworn many with your viewpoint argued that the people were stupid and sheep when they voted for Obama. Which is it?
For me, I don't trust the masses to watch out for my freedom and make my choices. I'd rather make my own and let everyone else make there's as well.
Marriage isn't being "redefined." It's being hijacked as if it is a purely Judeo-Christian concept when it predates both of them and exists in other forms throughout the world to this day. I am against someone forcing a pastor to marry to dudes, just as much as I am against two dudes not being allowed to get married by someone who is willing to do it.
