Major Wingate Drafted

because defending and rebounding 4's was a great idea too.
He could at least stay in front of 4s off the dribble and front them in the post. You can scheme to hide that. There's no hiding a guy getting stripped naked out top on every position.

Good point, but there was many of times he was owned in the post or on the boards.

and Hat, idk if it would have worked, it might not, but if we did have Wingate, we would have had a lot more depth in the post and it would have been interesting to see what could have happened.

It looks like Scooter McFadgon got drafted in the 5th round. I didn't know he was still playing basketball.

Wow, he was making like 100K+ over seas. They only pay 19K in D-League? What a waste. Plus, he's got so many kids in the U.S., he'll be garnished 9.75K a year, that is if he can stay out of jail. A girl I went to high school with had a court date with him 2 weeks ago that he didn't show up to. A1 bail bonds is on that A! ha

Yeah I think he failed a record number of drug tests at UT. Wish him good though. It's a shame he got kicked out for something that is absolutely harmless and should be legal.

Exactly. I mean how many student-athletes go out and drink, and that is perfectly acceptable; yet alcohol is much more damaging to society and infinitely more deadly.

I don't know what his habits were with the drug, and it's certainly very feasible to think that it at least partially interfered with game, but there's just no way of knowing if it actually limited his potential. It's just a shame things went that way, because with Wingate I think we could have made the Elite Eight.

um, no. Dane wasn't that good period, and he's overrated b/c he's white and he hustled, but he was a smart decision maker and could get us into the offense. I'm not saying he would have been a great option, but i'd rather him play the PG over Ramar Smith than the 4 with Ramar Smith at point.

If there is one topic concerning recent UT basketball history that I'd like to declare a permanent moratorium on, it would be this.

First of all, you people have nothing better to do then pick on someone. Now when it comes to him, LEAVE HIM ALONE!!! I'm so sick of these money hungry people who want something from him. Now him being back home playing ball is fine with his family because this is the most we have seen him and we enjoyed it. So if he decides to play here or overseas its his choice, YALL GET A LIFE!!!!!!!!
