Make an argument for a Kentucky win

Run the read option the whole game. Dobbs isn't amazing when it comes to throwing the ball but he runs well, and at this point it's the only thing we're decent at on offense.

Unfortunately we can't just show up to win. If we can't score points we are in trouble. Dobbs has no TD passes. I hope the running game is there. We are in for a fight. KY actually wants to win.

The offense did not score a single TD last week at home against Vanderbilt. We head into the game with a true freshman QB who hasn't shown any promise.

Our defense struggles mightily with mobile QBs and there is no need to go further.

I keep focused on the upcoming recruiting class where the future lies. Right now we are grouped with Arkansas and Kentucky battling for some pride and a 2nd sec win. No idea how we come out, but there are compelling reasons to expect a possible loss.

I have total faith in Butch Jones. That faith stems from an upcoming whale of a recruiting crop. Go Vols!

:unsure:I think we will win but look this team is worse than the one that they beat us 2 years ago, and we are young if we would just line up old fashion football and run the damn ball down there throat we could, but you know we got to run the spread.

It's irrelevant how bad UK is. The only thing that matters is how we play. If we come out flat, sloppy and unmotivated-- on the road in a hostile environment-- we'll find a way to lose. We're good at that.

UK wants to beat us bad; if we don't want it, we won't win it.

Hoping for a win, but if we are going out with a loss, I atleast want to see an aggresive offense, taking chances, throwing the ball down field, more then the same five plays over and over, the kind of offense during the end of the GA game etc. Do not want to see conservative football at all.

Fine post; I agree with this 100 %. :good!: :hi:

Looking at this game, I can't honestly come up with a valid reason that Kentucky should win this game. We've struggled, but Kentucky is atrocious. And now they've suspended their best RB.

We are only giving 4 points.
Is there any legitimate excuse that we don't cover that??

Um, two years ago when we could have made a bowl game with a win Kentucky beat us with a WR at QB. They have a more than legitimate shot of winning this game.

The Battle for the Bottom Rung, that is all this is. I hope our VOLS show up.

Agree...it's a long haul out of the pit.

Team 117 is the worst UT team in history and they may very well find a way to lose on the road to a 3 win Kentucky team....I won't be surprised if it does indeed happen

They beat us with a WR at QB 2 years ago.. This team is worse than that one. We've really stunk it up on the road also.

Someone motivates KY's players that this is a chance to get us while we're down....

Jones understands that losing could be a positive in that this season is already a huge bust and if we lose it would make progress made next year seem all that much greater.....

I predicted 4-8 before the season started...

CBJ said in the Vandy week presser that going 4-8 the first year was good for his Cincy team. Then we go out and play our worst game against Vandy. That worries me.

I hope he knows we have never gone 4-8

Guarantee you that Butch gets them fired up to get after KY. Its still a big SEC game and gives the Vols some momentum going forward. Vols win easily.

As fired up as they were for Vandy? Or was CBJ saving it for Kensucky?
