I agree with that but you gotta back it up if you're gonna be running your mouth. Banks was pretty solid when he wasn't causing trouble
IMHO and having coached a few talented guys in my day, I always want players to be who they are. If you play without talking then do that, if you're a talker u should talk. Don't all of a sudden shut up because u got beat keep that same energy. If CJH didn't like it he would have put a stop to it a long time ago.

Who said he was All SEC?? I said he is a dog which is a mentality. That literally has nothing to do with skill or talent
So what good does it do to be a “dog” when you can’t back it up? Al Wilson was the epitome of a “dog” but you best believe he could back it up. If you’re gonna talk it, you better be able to walk it. His antics (especially against Carolina when he was getting chewed up) were embarrassing.

The issue with Josh putting up with it is that he had to play Haddon due to an utter lack of talent in the defensive backfield. There is now more talent at CB and we’ll find out if Haddon plays or if he gets to talk to the bench. Actions speak a whole lot louder than words. If he hasn’t gotten that message, I have a feeling he will or he will be sitting. Same with several of the other DB’s. He ain’t the only one.

I have no issue with a little jawing. Don’t get beat repeatedly and look like crap then talk though. Really think Hadden has the tools to be a good CB though. Hopefully he puts it together this year.

Got no issues with Mom being proud of him. She should be. And as a matter of fact, one of my children was a Division 1 athlete 20 years ago so I can identify with her. But because he is an athlete who is representing this university, we as alumni have every right to comment on his actions in that uniform. He represents this school. Not sure if you watched his antics last year while getting torched but they were embarrassing. If he’s going to yak, he needs to cover someone and learn the old adage: “Don’t just sing it, bring it.” End of discussion.

Again this thread isn't about him or his yacking....keep up.

Bruh ain't no such thing as you have to put up with it as HC. Especially at this level. If he couldn't play he wouldn't play. HC's don't gag dogs it's that simple. Hadden is a very aggressive CB and I still expect him to start even with this new talent you're speaking on. If talking helps him keep that edge keep talking. The ones saying stop talking either come from an old school thought process or ain't never competed before. It's dudes out there not saying a word and still getting cooked. If a guy plays with fire and passion they should stay that way wether it's going great or horrible is my point.

you're talking like he was a scrub. Hadden finished top 6 on the team in tackles and #2 in forced turnovers. He missed 4 games. So he made his share of plays & would have likely finished with better numbers if he played those other 4 games. You're mad because he went back and forth in the SC game?? The entire defense stayed in Knoxville that night. Rattler had all day to throw, what do you think will happen to ANY SECONDARY if u give a QB all day. He was the only guy that showed some fight that night. When you're getting your ass handed to you of course emotions get high. Hell I wish more guys would have barked that night because they damn sure didn't come to play. Being a dog doesn't mean you're good as freaking Al Wilson smh. It means you are an aggressive player and don't have to be taught to attack. Hadden ain't out there playing scared. I would go to war with him any day.

He sure didn't play scared, but that wasn't the problem for any of these guys last year. Our secondary just wasn't skilled or athletic enough to hang with SEC WRs.

I watched a replay of the UF game the other day and
saw him miss 2 tackles on the same play against the
same WR. The WR scored on the play.

I can agree with this. We got a couple 4⭐'s on the backend but not nearly enough top end athletes. That means Willie has to do better teaching technique and fundamentals. At least until we can get top end talent back there.

Now do one with all his mistakes and dumb stuff he did. I bet it’s longer and you won’t have to replay the same play 4 times to fill it.

Does anyone think he could have improved because the entire secondary wants to be better. They've worked hard and are wanting to show us they are not the weak link to our defense? We have vets returning with some very good freshmen to sure up the backend. If they can be top 20-40 rank, we'll be winning a whole lot of games.

I have no problem with a player talking, jawing or whatever you want to call it, but having said that he did take it a tad too far sometimes last year.
I’m going to have to agree with you there, I never criticize the players really, but last year was kind of yikes at times.. hopefully this year his play and attitude match up and I would be overjoyed .. he definitely has the potential 😄 and I also understand the proud mama angle 😂 (but I would also tell my son the previous 😂 privately)
