You were disappointed? I've been out there a few times, and I love that place. I've had the burrito he eats in the challenge (the normal size), adn it was good. But their brisket will blow your skirt up.

I love good brisket. I will make sure I check out Sweet P's.

The food wasn't terrible I just remember paying a good bit for the burrito and the sides. It also seemed like a really small place to have a live band. Very small and very loud in there. It wasn't bad but I wouldn't make the drive to eat out there again. I remember the burrito just made me want a pulled pork sandwich.

When I travel for work I try to hit up the MvF restaurants. My favorites thus far were the Tucson restaurants. I had the Mexican hot dog and it's the shiz. Also ate a triple cheeseburger between two grilled cheese sandwiches. All in the same day. I survived somehow.

I saw the Knoxville episode. Would love to see the Charleston one since my brother did the challenge - 10 spicy tuna rolls

I've been to all three of the places he went here... Stepping Stone Cafe, Voodoo Donuts and Salvador Molly's. Stepping Stone is nothing special, there are a number of better breakfast joints around town. But it was all about the mancakes, those things are serious business. Still, because of the publicity, the place is open like 14 hours a day and there is typically a thirty minute wait every one of those 14 hours. Voodoo is played out, but it's still great and one of the few touristy things actually worth doing. Salvador Molly's was decent, but the great balls of fire challenge was a cakewalk.

Was that the Sanora Dog with Jalepeno sauce, mayo and beans on the hotdog? I have remembered that one thing over any other on the show. I want it so bad.

Don't forget that the hot dog is wrapped with bacon.

The one on the right is the Old Dirty Bastard, the one on the left is the Miami Vice. And got a little Stumptown coffee to go with.

Apparently he retired from competitive eating

On January 27, 2012 on his Facebook page, Richman announced his retirement from food challenges. No exact reason was given as to why Richman retired, other than moving on and wishing his audience farewell.

I guess that might give some credence to the idea he wasn't eating in the last season because his doctors old him he needed to stop

He does a "best sandwich in America" show now though

Don't understood the appeal of watching someone overeat.

I always found how much of a charismatic ham he was to make the show the more appealing.

I always enjoyed finding out about new restaurants I hadn't known about the most fun though (only 1 of the places each show was an eating contest)...I learned about 3 restaurants in st Louis I hadn't been to before
