Yep. Getting the bump on the opponents played, we catch Carolina ELO 49th/RPI 39th and they play the Barn ELO 26th/RPI 12th, better Ws.

Georgia is absolutely murdering the ball. Georgia will see better pitching this weekend, it will be interesting to see how well they do.
It’s weird to see Ga dominating like this in baseball. Is it fluke or sustainable. Guess we’ll find out.

How do some of these teams from non power 4 conferences with so many losses get ranked so high?
UC Irvine beat Nebraska, Texas Tech x2, USC, and lost closely to Vanderbilt, USC, and Texas Tech

Coastal Carolina has beaten Kansas State x2, run ruled Washington, Ohio State, NC State, and Clemson while also losing close to UNC in extras.

Troy beat that same Coastal team 2 out of 3, beat Mississippi State and lost closely to Auburn and Alabama

Dallas Baptist beat Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and played tough against LSU and TCU

These teams have more SEC wins combined and performed better in SEC games than any of Florida, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Texas A&M, or Missouri. They are fully deserving of being ranked and these are teams you do not want in your regional/super regional because they are fully capable of beating anyone 2 out of 3 times.

Georgia fans are talking a lot of smack about how much better they are than us
UGA is seeing the ball well. Their starting pitching was the issue in early March. Havent really kept up with them since. To say they are better than us is a bit of a stretch. CTV and company has this program absolutely rolling. But this stuff will work itsself out over the next 2 months.

Georgia baseball is the Cicada of the sport.

No reason that program can't be a blue blood. Yet, they wander around in the wilderness for several years before having a good season.

However, let's keep in mind, they've really only played one solid team (Auburn) and even the Tigers are a bit suspect. High Point and ETSU are their only out-of-conference foes with a winning records and both those teams hung with them.

The baseball world will be able to decide between Texas and Georgia after this weekend.

Every coach in the SEC knows where Cobb is, I agree.
