It’s really too big of a crapshoot to try to say how we will do. My heart says we have a chance to advance to the elite 8 but the our Inconsistent play says we will bow out early. Barnes has a lot to prove during this tournament. At some point, he’s got to win in the big dance. Most of vol nation thought this would be our best chance to advance deep especially with DK on our roster. So, vol nation will a sweet 16 appearance satisfy you? Or is it elite 8 or final 4 or bust on the season. National media does not remember regular season championships. It’s how you do in the tournament!

This is the problem with Tennessee sports teams. Not blaming you, but the collective consciousness of our fanbase is so negative, (and understandably so) it can become a self fulfilling prophecy. We are what we think. I pledge to do my best to think positively, and believe we WILL win every game. Godspeed, and Go Vols!

Not going to lie, seeing how favorable that bracket is outside of UConn, I wouldn’t have minded being the 2 there. WSU/Drake as our 7/10 is pretty favorable. I can imagine much worse matchups for us.

Really? Interesting. Maybe I’m wrong. I just don’t see much there other than the top seeds. Illinois wouldn’t scare me as our 3. WSU is very hot and cold. They haven’t beaten many great teams.
