which is understandable since I don't believe I've seen you claim Bruce invented basketball at UT. I mean the ones who suddenly realized TBA didn't just do concerts but claimed UT fan for life.

I see. I agree that those types of fans can be annoying, but at least they are paying attention since CBP go here. It's too bad that many people missed some great individual players by not paying attention until Bruce arrived.

this point really can't be made enough
That's crazy talk. If Tanning Bed left Knoxville, the Sunsphere would topple, TBA would collapse into the Tennessee River, babies would be murdered in the streets, and the sun would cease to shine.

So, this thread turned out like every other hat thread? I wasted 5 minutes reading it.

By all accounts, he's played well in his time overseas.

I'd love to see him play now and compare his game to the last time I saw him play in Knoxville. I'm curious how he has evolved as a player.

I'd be confident his offensive game is considerably more polished if he's getting another shot.

I would hope so. He was very raw when he left Tennessee.

Doesn't he have a wife...or fiancee?
Yes. However, you should have long since learned that Pearlophiles are immune to fact. They are the kind of people who tried to say UT could play with Louisville in '08 and Tyler Smith is comparable to Terrence Williams and Earl Clark.

Tennessee would have beaten Louisville earlier in the season. Louisville was peaking. We were going the other way.

Earl Clark has incredible gifts as a basketball player, and has a much higher ceiling than Tyler Smith. So I agree that they are not comparable in that respect. Earl Clark also takes off a lot of plays. A lot of plays. Tyler does not.

Terrence Williams is an incredible athlete...one of the most athletically gifted players in this year's draft. He is a great all around player. The only knock on T-will is the same knock on Tyler. Neither are great shooters.

Both are more athletically gifted than Tyler. Both have much better NBA potential than Tyler. However, If I am assembling a college team I take Tyler over Clark (for the reason stated above), and T-Will over both of them.

We had the misfortune of drawing a 3-seed with 1-seed talent that was finally playing up to its potential. We probably would have beaten all of the other 3-seeds and most of the other 2-seeds in the field.

Someone on ESPN (pretty sure it was Bilas) called our draw the toughest road to the Final Four that he had ever seen for a 2-seed.

But, I still don't understand the decision to move Prince to PG for the NCAA Tournament. Yes, Ramar and Howell had been inconsistent down the stretch, but that late in the year, I think you have to go with who you've been going with all season. That almost cost us the Butler game.

Someone whose only purpose on this board is to continually post mindless puke directed at someone who long since put them on ignore and publicly stated they regard them as human feces telling anybody to "get a girlfriend." Priceless.

Hat, I want to be clear that the following statement is not meant to apply to you.

I think we should all agree that any dork with a keyboard and a working broadband connection can get on a message board and spout insult after insult until his fingers get sore. But that certainly doesn't mean that said dork has a girlfriend, or has even smelled a fur pie.

So I'm questioning the logic of your (above-quoted) reply.

Tennessee wouldn't have beaten Louisville at any point. If you would take Tyler Smith over Earl Clark. I'd love to coach against teams you assembled.

The logic is simple. It is the height of comedy for someone who skulks around posting shots at someone who has them blocked and has no respect for him to insinuate anyone else needs to get a life.

1. Wrong. Tennessee wasn't losing home games to the likes of NIT one-and-dones like Dayton and Cincinnati. Tennessee also wasn't losing road games -- by double digits no less -- to pure garbage teams like Seton Hall. They play earlier in the season, Tennessee wins. Next.

2. Feel free to fellate Earl Clark all you want. Like Chad Ford, you must be very impressed with his length. I saw him pick his spots too many times. Maybe for one game I'd take Clark...or maybe even a three or four game stretch. But for a whole season, I'd take Tyler without batting an eye.

1. If you don't realize basketball is a game of matchups, none of which favored Tennessee against Louisville, you're not worth conversing with further. Next.
2. You'd be batting your eyes a whole bunch. Watching the team you assemble get their brains beat out will do that to you.

Volman38 is on my blocked list because his posts are terrible. But for all I know he could be hopping on his lear jet everyday and flying to a different city to bang a different supermodel.

In other words, your argument is that: "person on my blocked list == person who has no life." Logic, that is not. At best, I would call that strong evidence of high self-esteem.

1. Yeah, Seton Hall was a killer matchup for Louisville. Its a good thing they didn't make it to the tournament...if UL would have drawn them in the first round, they might have been one and done.

2. You are repeating yourself.

Yet again, you've missed the point. That goof spends most of his time here posting things directed at someone who doesn't see his posts or have the first modicum of respect for them. Thus, he should examine his life before he starts giving advice to others.
