I wonder if any of the ref bashers have ever officiated a game. Do the refs make mistakes - you bet. It's a tough job, done in real time.

Looking at the box score it seems obvious that the refs were biased in UT's favor.

Let's extend your flawed logic to other areas of everyday life. Have you ever criticized anybody anywhere at anytime who did a poor job...a server at a restaurant, a checkout clerk at the grocery store, a plumber, a roofer, anybody? You realize you can't do that unless you yourself have actually performed that job.

We all know that isn't true. Not having performed a task does not preclude one from commenting on the efficiency or effectiveness of someone who is performing the task.

Very good point! Also, a comparable number of fouls called on both teams does not necessarily mean the game was called well or fairly. Key considerations that are not represented in box scores are things such as when were fouls called, in what situations, and importantly, when were obvious fouls NOT called.

She is playing to a Tennessee audience much like a teams radio play by play person. So, bias is expected in that format.

I agree. She's not a true journalist, she's a fan. As such, it's hard to take her commentary on the officiating too seriously....

On the Boise State forum I'm sure they're complaining about how they were hosed. It's the nature of being a fan, the refs are always out to get your team.....
