Marjorie Taylor Greene Receives Standing Ovation From Repubs. Dems Vote To Remove Her From Two Committees

I’m amazed at how the left seems to be the only ones getting her message about white supremacy. He “dog whistles” seem to be stoking the left, who from the right is getting stoked by her message? The left seem to be the only ones giving her press, if it weren’t for them she’d be irrelevant..... just like AOC without the right propping her up
I became aware of her plans to launch the "America First Caucus" from a tweet sent by House Minority Leader, Rep. Kevin McCarthy, condemning the language used in the policy platform.

LOL. Isn't that enough? There is not a single Republican in Congress right now who is going to defend that rhetoric. Trump might, but he has nothing left to lose... and he is an idiot.

No, both of the quotations you referenced are truths. I would have worded them different to avoid the inevitable pearl clutching. I also would have removed any references to Trump.

When they say "America first" they really mean "white people first." Period. They ain't talking about America First in support of black, Latino, or Arab Americans.

If that wasn't clear they sometimes add the "Anglo-Saxon tradition" line or the "white nationalist" moniker
Pushing your white privilege bull **** every where you can huh lady? 🤡

What makes you think this? I read the entire platform and found nothing in there that talked about white people.

There was no mention of white nationalism. There was a mention of Anglo Saxon political tradition.

Which is what Rep. Kevin McCarthy was referring to as "dog whistling" to white nationalist organizations.

I don’t know why he said it. I’d ask him the same questions I’m asking you.

You love to use these appeal to authority approaches to support your arguments, especially when you are light on substance.

Lol yeah you’ve now referenced him about 5 times now, I think we are all now familiar with Rep Kevin McCarthys position here. But you loons have spent 5 years talking about these dog whistles because of course everyone is racist. I’m guessing that’s one of the most commonly used phrases on cnn and msnbc

Protecting "Anglo-Saxon traditions" or respecting "Anglo-Saxon culture" is an old trope employed as justification for the exclusion and discrimination of minorities in society. Such language has been commonplace in the literature (such as Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf) of white supremacists. Basically put, it is "We need to get back to the roots of our white ancestry."

You seem very unsophisticated. Like someone who often needs things repeated, and one who needs the big words spelled out for them.

You and tasty keep leaving out the word “political”. I guess it helps you reinforce your desired interpretation of the document. The document used the term “Anglo Saxon political traditions”.

I’ve already said that I’m not willing to brand the woman a racist from these words alone. I would want to know what she means by “Anglo Saxon political traditions”. Not sure why this is so unreasonable for you.

Also, with a few exceptions, I found nothing problematic with the document. An American shouldn’t need to apologize for putting the interests of our country first.

That is an indirect reference to her support for laws which restrict voting. In tandem with "Anglo-Saxon", the word "political" is being used here as a dog whistle to white people who harbor prejudicial feelings and bitter resentments for minorities. Greene is signaling to those people that she will continue fighting for voting restrictions in order to keep minorities from voting... and also to keep minorities from being elected to office (such as Sen. Raphael Warnock or Stacey Abams - if she decides to run again).

Greene isn't putting the best interests of every American first. She is putting the best interests of people most likely to vote for her first... and those people happen to be white bigots.

I guess she's really into kings, nobility, serfs, and getting raided by Vikings.

I’m happy it is you who is hearing these racial dog whistles and not me. I hope you can get some help!!

Now for the sake of argument, let me concede that this Green woman is a raging white supremacist. You sniffed her out by hearing these silent dog whistles that only white supremacists can decipher.

Why are you not equally as outraged at Biden’s long history of bigotry? You don’t need a special white supremacist decoder to understand that thinking articulate and CLEAN black men are hard to find is as racist as it comes.

Jesebus, don't celebrate her like she's some sort of righteous person. She's a horrible person. A moron. Evil. And she wants to delude others into believing her idiotic ideas.

The the Republican Party won't dump her says as much about their weakness as her 15 minutes of fame as one of the dumbest people on Earth. Ever. Including cavemen.

Hey! Whoa! Before we get to hurling too many epithets about whose member of congress is dumber than whose, just a reminder that while she does belong to the Repubs, the Dems have enough to fill out a starting baseball roster.

Close but not quite.

I'll give AOC her due credit on one thing. She's light years ahead of most politicians at manipulating the stupid through social media (reddit & Twitter anyways) with sock puppets and useful idiots to carry water for her.

The left can't meme but they're still 10x better at manipulating the stupid through social media and creating outrage than the right.

I think the only politician that came close to manipulating the stupid on the Right as close to or better than AOC was Trump. Kind of like a Rottweiler that won't respond to an aggressive poodle but won't back down from a mastiff, the Left went after Trump like an inbred pitbull for that one.

Both parties should condemn politicians like AOC & Trump that try to appeal policy to the masses by social media outrage.

Who said "only white supremacists can decipher" who she is signaling? Anyone with a modicum of common sense should be able to understand the agenda of this new Republican caucus based on their rhetoric.

Well you called them dog whistles. My understanding of the metaphor was, like only dogs can hear the silent whistle, only white supremacists understand the underlying meaning of the terms you pointed out. Otherwise, why refer to them as dog whistles?

Now it could be that you were able to decipher it due to your prolific reading of Klan documents and Hitler speeches. Those are two things I’m not familiar with. Is this how you are spending your free time these days??

Look, BB, I’m not calling you a white supremacist. But I am saying you pretty easily assign meaning to these “dog whistles” and are quick to allege racism. Why are you not equally outraged at the ACTUAL words of bigotry from Joe?

I want to understand if your motives are pure here.

Both Maxine and Nancy need to go

Yeah, that will get off the ground with a Democratic Party majority in the House. Sure thing.

With Q'Anon fading into obscurity, not being a member of any House committees has apparently left Marjorie with a lot of spare time on her hands.
