You mean that whole Sosa/McGwire HR-fest for the ages thing was totally a job????? OMG! I need to sit down. Woozy from the realization that it's all a sham.

I honestly dont care what he does or says anymore....

but great, another "breaking story" to knock our win over Kansas even more out of the limelight
could we have picked a worse week coverage wise to beat a number 1 team?

true, but it is yet another case of neither one ever needing to juice to begin with. neither should get into the hall as cheaters, but they should be able to live their lives after they have made bad choices. (not that you were mentioning that downtown, so please don't feel like i am attacking your post.) but i feel like knowing what every baseball fan or player knows now, that anyone who has an asterisk by their name should never be allowed into the hall. period. that includes bonds. this can turn into a long debate which is not where i am trying to go with this, but i am just glad that the guy got this off his chest and can hopefully move on and others can learn from his suffering and very poor choices.

Bingo. Maybe he thinks he'll gain some sympathy votes by coming clean. Juice or no juice, Bonds is about 10x the player Big Mac ever was.

Sans roids, Bonds was never going to approach the power numbers McGwire did. Being club cancer disnt help anything either.

Good for him for coming out and letting most of the truth out.

However, it's a shame that Bud Selig and the rest of his inept group don't have to face some of the accountability for turning a blind eye.

The only flaw in the numerous admitions he made was the claim steroids helped in his recovery not performance. Don't try and sugar coat it, we all know it did, mr 70 hrs 1998.

We all know it did. But what's the point in him admitting that?

Technically it's not been proven that it makes one hit a ball farther, so just use the "it helped me heal" and move on.

I dosen't take a scientist to prove that steroids= increased muscle mass which increases stength which= the ball being hit harder and farther.

I understand the debates, all angles and you known what it still does not diminish the utter euphoric glee as I and the rest of the country's collectives jaw drops at the Story lines, fascinations and pure amazement of the Mark Mcgwire and\or Sammy Sosa era.

Baseball knew at the time what was going without a doubt. This includes managers, owners, politicians, the media and in the know fans. The additional money's at the time brought these stories must have been astronomical.

Currently I see the Media, congresses and self serving ownership lambasting of the players and all subsequent debates as hypocritical as hell.

I still think he should make The Hall Of Fame. There I said it.

Not disagreeing with you.

But there has been very little research on it. So MM doesn't have to come out and say it made him hit the ball farther.
