In the AJC today fans are calling for him to hire an OC, and bashing his clock management.

Who didn't see that coming? Football fans are so predictable.

...and they seem to gloss over the muffed punt followed by giving up a 30 yard reverse for a TD and the fumble that got returned for a TD and giving up a 62 yard pass on 4th and 10. I wonder how exactly did Mark Richt's playcalling affect those plays?

UGA had to work hard to lose this one. :D

They are missing Van Gorder (hope that spelling is close).

Were I a GA fan I would be a little frustrated, but after Goff and Donnan I think the one or two "cool heads" left in GA will prevail.

Well Martinez, who took over for Van Gorder, was supposed to be the genius that taught VG everything he knew. I just think they've lost a lot of talent and depth and will do so again next year. With Spurrier in the mix in recruiting, I see this division beating each other to death again. For USC they'll only go up. Everyone else (UT, UF, and UGA) will go down.

There are a few cool heads around here. After Goofy Goff and Donnan, the fans were just floating on a few good years for a change. They hate to see the dream killed so quick. It's one thing to spoil mediocre fans on a few good years. It's another not to expect them to get arrogant and moody when times get tough.

USC reminds me a lot ot UT last year. Spurrier is the coach of the year, but luck has been on his side so far. Beating UT and Fla this year is a tainted accomplishment. It will be harder to recruit from Columbia than most people think.

BTW, GA fans are ALWAYS arrogant and moody as a whole. I spent the first 18 years of my life in the great state of GA.

And by the way, how do all these teams get these wide open pass plays and we rarely do?  It just baffles me.

Because our recievers don't get open.....they are soft because of Pat Washington.

LSU will kick UGA's ass just like they did the last time they played in the SECC game. The Bengal Tigers are a much better team than Georgia.

he has lost touch with reality. His system is not working and he can't win the big games. They are the laughing stock of football. No way should a team like UGA ever lose a game at home to a lower ranked team. All he does it beat the sub par teams. Bring back Ray Goff.

[/end sarcam]

That was a great game.

all you richt bashers ... remember that Ga was picked preseason to finish third the east and he has won it. How soon you forget.

Given the current issues of Fla and UT I think we see how good the press is at picking a winner. It has been years since they have been right. That is what scared me about this season.

He's done a good job..but come on...they've had the easier schedule as well..think they would go into LSU and Bama(like UF and UT did) and win on the road when they cant beat Auburn at home? No way they win both.

First of all sorry I haven't been around lately been out of town for the past two weeks.
Second: what a freaking GREAT game. I know we lost but to see two damn good SEC teams going at it was great. I dont blame CMR he is a great Coach but a young one he will make some mistakes but the question is will he learn from them and he didn't lose the game for us. We had the game won but gave up a huge play (why couldn't the fumble just have went through the end zone) Oh well cant win them all yet

Bye the way did anyone else see Greg Blue just standing there looking for the run on that last play. I know he is a great run stopper but come on YOU ARE A SAFETY. Though i wouldn't want to play without him.

Is it just me, or does Kenny Irons look like a Ronnie Brown clone?  Same number, same style, everything.  Kid is just a beast!

That dude was a freaking beast, he completely humilated us in the first half.

I agree it was a great game between both teams. I still think AUB has a terrific OC. They have great play action and a lot of different looks and sets on offense. I wish we could get him as our new OC.
