He had been playing all year, just no catches.

Pretty sure he only played against Tennessee Tech and UT. I read a ton of articles prior to the Tennessee game asking why he hadn't been playing and Richt said he wasn't ready but was almost "there". Then he played against us and TTU. I don't think he participated in any other game than that TBH.

Stats show he played in 8 games last year, so he had only played in two games before the Vols game.

Ahhhh...I see now. I was just confused. I'm guessing that most of that action was in mop up duty when the score was out of reach for either team.
