I believe Ainge just said North was not out there this weekend at the scrimmage... then said something like he wasn't going to talk about it because that would be UT's thing and not his.

I hadn't heard of anything going on at all.. anyone know anything?

I'm not a huge EA fan as far as a radio personality. He's another athlete who really can't leave the spot light. He knows if he says something semi-controversial it will draw more listeners and attention to him. Unfortunately Knoxville radio is really bad

I dont think he was trying to exaggerate, he was just saying that it's UT's job to release information about the player's personal issues. He reported that he missed the scrimmage and didnt want to ellaborate.

IMO, that's better than reporting something off of hearsay without knowing anything first hand or putting words in the player's mouth (Wes Rucker)...

And Coach Jones did say that he had a family emergency. All we need to know.

Thoughts with North and family, hope everyone is ok and he can return to the field when he is ready. Cant wait to see this kid ball out at the Orange and White game.

EA wasn't stirring up drama. I may not have worded my initial post well to reflect that. I just wasn't aware of anything going on. Seems like its nothing based on what CBJ said. Lets move on.

I like him being a homer too. Not many of those around here. It's like most of the local radio people are afraid they might say something nice about UT! He's a little tart & dramatic for my taste but usually has a lot of good points.

Why do ppl hate on EA? his show is the best I've heard by far. He is the definition of a "insider" and has done more for UT than any of us ever will! They joke around yes but how boring would 4 hrs of radio be if they didn't? Stop taking y'all's selves so dang serious gees
