I'm not a huge EA fan as far as a radio personality. He's another athlete who really can't leave the spot light. He knows if he says something semi-controversial it will draw more listeners and attention to him. Unfortunately Knoxville radio is really bad

He's simply too immature for me, which is sayin something.

I reckon I'm still young enough or touched in da head enough that I usually get a chuckle out of their silliness.

Personal things going on with our players and their families are their own business and none of ours. I wish coaches would say they are studying film when a player is absent from practice. Instead coaches says this or that and media girls spin off with it....then fans spin off on it..

Hey CBJ....JUST SAY THAT THEY ARE STUDYING FILM or IN THE WEIGHT ROOM or WORKING WITH POSITION COACHES. They have personal lives that are not fans business.

I know this thread is about North. However, I listen to EA over the net often. I am two generations removed from Ainge, I watched my first Vol game in 1958. I find that his slang and expressions help me keep up with the thoughts and idioms of younger people. I think Ainge is very good on the psychology of the player and breaking down teams strengths and weaknesses. I too chuckle at some of the innuendos.

Although I 100% agree that these players personal lives should remain just that. Can you imagine the speculation that would occur if media and fans were told our numero uno WR didn't participate in a scrimmage because he was studying film or working with position coach?

The only quote I got from CBJ was "a family emergency", this is the same term used in the work world when personal matters prevent you from being and work. That is 100% the PC and proper way to word/handle the situation.

I believe Ainge just said North was not out there this weekend at the scrimmage... then said something like he wasn't going to talk about it because that would be UT's thing and not his.

I hadn't heard of anything going on at all.. anyone know anything?

drama queen.....geesh

See your point...But know there are a thousand and one PC and proper reasons CBJ could give to media as to why MN was not at scrimmage. And for that matter....the degree of video footage is controlled by UTsports and/or staff, so nothing could have been aired of the subject. BUT...media Q/A from EA and the like is where CBJ could have said "North had to take a make up exam"...."North has the flu and we need him back healthy for O/W game"
Is having the Flu or whatever as speculative as Family Emergency?:)

Facts or lack thereof has never stopped poster on this board from assuring others they know the finite details of everything.
