If ever been married, have you had a marriage that ended in divorce?

Been married 4 years in August. Dated for 6 and lived together for most of 3 before that. We now have two boys under 2 and couldn't be happier. We are 99% on the same page for major areas of disagreement; sports (she doesn't really care so she roots for who i do) politics, religion, health, finances and so forth. Having so much in common really helps.

I'm not saying they are or they aren't, I'm just saying that the fact you and your wife are talking about what would be grounds for divorce means that neither of you are 100% committed to your marriage whether or not you realize it. There are a lot of studies that back that up and explain how that leads to divorce by putting clauses on your relationship. That being said, studies aren't always right and I hope you stay married as long as you want to.

Been married for a year and a half. We are a testament to the theory "Opposites Attract". Our personalities are so different, but it meshes in a way that can't even be explained. I still will get butterflies in my stomach if she drops by my office unexpectedly or if she sends a sweet text msg.

We made the big 3-0 this past December. It has been a wee bit shakey at times, but we have good role model couples in our family and our kids believe in us, so, still hangin in thar.

I've been married for 13 years to my high school sweetheart. I love her more today than when we were married. Communication is the key, when my wife and I go anywhere we leave the radio off and just talk about everything. We place our relationship above everything but Christ, we always put Him first.

That is so TRUE I mean as you guys know I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer.. Never been to college left High School early.. Now my wife I meet grad from UTK
got her Masters from Vandy 5th in her class the other 4 were asian.. We are so opposites but have had such a good times. When we meet she never done fun things a kid does.. Never smoked a fat joint, did not drink, never been on a horse ride at night and skinny dipping in a moon lite creek. Never been to a Estate Sale yard sale. No car races no horse shows..
She took me to afew neat places things I had not done.
2 smart kids I bragg on to much Son a RN daughter a Dr.

We are so Opposite but she puts up with me lets me be me.. Never tried to change me

no she is and had always been a queen.. I mean so fine at 25 she had a turd cutter on her make u slap yo mammy... I found a pic I will post when I get home tomorrow..
I swear she was a honey.. All it took was that she got a hold of my log chain and that was it, She had never had her bell rung before then I could not run her off..
Her and her dog they just moved in
It went from her bringing a bag overnight to she had a closet full of her clothes at my house..

I had never really had a woman before. I mean a fine woman. All I had was ol bar whores some looked ok but they done screwed around all the time. None were smart
this one was over my leauge. Fact she meet me a bartender at Fridays and she was student at Vandy.
she was dateing a guy who was a med student at the time we meet. I had a girl living with me was fair looking
. I told Sunshine you better stick with the guy your dateing. He gonna be a Dr. someday and be rich. You need to ride that train not me.. Well her and them other girls hung around the bar a bit. I done told this story.
and get this one that boy is Dr. a Surgen around Knoxville makes Mega money and she stuck with me a factory worker and she has worked her whole life...
we laugh about that I mean she screwed up big time

Having clear boundaries/expectations has nothing to do with the level of commitment either person has to the marriage.

I think the point he's trying to make is that you go in knowing that certain things, like violence and infidelity are no nos. You also trust your partner enough that it you assume that they won't cross those lines.

Sure, but if there isn't clear consequences for certain actions (via communication), and one knows the other is blindly hell bent on staying married no matter what, then the other person can do whatever the hell they want without fear of their parner leaving them.

and still looks about this good at 59 today.
The woman walks every day eats right and why I run 2 miles every day to keep my log chain swinging..
I got a pic of her in her tight jeans cowgirl boots low cut
I may have to post..
hand on the bible this looks just as she did even better
