Not for the good, for sure !!! I'm 54 raising a 17 year old. Finally realizing that my Holy ****, is their NORMAL It's the world we live in. Even the grandparents that preached RIGHT OR WRONG no matter what !!! Have lost there minds !

The younger generations minds have been “ warped” by what they see daily on TV , in music, and in the media in general. At the same time, it’s up to the parents to raise their children to understand the consequences of bad behavior from when they are toddlers through their teenage years. If there are no consequences during those years, everything goes once they become adults ( 18 yo).

Single Parent "Homes" where the Kids are into bad things at age 10. NO RAISING at all. Here; America is your result of looking the other way, and essentially enabling. Gangsta Movies, "Music", Video Games, just came home to roost.

Ah damn. Now I gotta go kill ppl because I played Grand Theft Auto as a kid.

Movies, games, and music are minimal influences compared to the true root cause for most crime: poverty.

Oh OK. Well I grew up poor as dirt; that didn't take me to a life of crime; because-----I had good raising, And a good wholesome environment. I'm not buying your excuse.

Drugs are the root cause of most crime.

*money*

Could be stealing money to buy drugs. Or stealing drugs bc you don’t have money. But most crime is due to money. Skimp out on paying a dealer, there will be crime. Dealer can’t pay his supplier, there will be crime.

Not just applicable to drugs either. Rich mofos be breaking laws all the time trying hide money, get more money, etc.

Insurance fraud - money.

Tax fraud - money.

Drugs - money.

Robbery - money.

Carjacking - money.

And on and on and on...

Most evil in this world can be traced back to money.

Absolutely. Ask any detective and most of the crime especially burglary/theft is due to drugs. Most aren't stealing 72" lcd tvs to hang on their walls, they're stealing them to then turn and sell them to get money to buy drugs.

Anecdotally I've had my home and my business robbed several times by the same dude. So much so, I personally know the guy. He steals, sells.what he steals, buys drugs, gets caught, goes to prison, gets out early on probation, makes it clean for 6 months, gets back on the drugs, steals, wash, rinse, repeat. I have video cameras everywhere and he knows it, he doesn't care.

I find something missing, look on the cameras, "oh look! Jimmy's out of prison again!" I've gotten to the point of watching the prison database and trying to keep up with where he's at. When fresh out of prison he gets a new round of charges for multiple counties so he bounces from county jail.to County jail to.be tried for his crimes in those counties before head back to state prison. It's sad really. The last time the detective called me and asked if it would be OK for him to hand the phone to Jimmy.as.he wanted to talk to me. He said he was sorry and the drugs had such a strong pull on him. Said he was clean for 6 months of being released but he fell back.

I grew up playing violent video games, watching violent movies, listening to violent movie and I haven't lived a life of crime. I'm not buying your gross oversimplification of an issue.

You were raised poor but you had a good upbringing which isn't the case for a lot of people. A lot of these kids come from broken homes, broken families, poverty stricken areas with the only way(in their minds) is a life of crime. Once they're in the system, they never get out.

Look up crime statistics and tell me where they are and then go look up household income in that area.

That is an extremely oversimplification of the issue as well......my dad rain a jail house ministry.... when the guys would get out of jail.... he would give them equipment....... rides to work.... a job..... teach them a trade..... not a single one made it more than a week...... it has more to do with upbringing than anything but there are several factors that play a part in their lifestyle.
