Would be nice to hear the game announcers be FOR US instead of saying Mercer's on their way back when they make a basket....just sayin'

They are for close games. If we were down they would be saying we were coming back. It's their job to make a game entertaining even when it is a blow out.

Give him a 10 year extension , all you doubters need to get a life . Why would we even consider a cheater like Pearl . Now Auburn will have to live with NCAA investigations in every male sport .

Anyone have a gif of the last possession in the 1st half and Cuonzo showing his intensity?

Fo sho BJ lol...I'll start my crow eating thread after everything dies down.

Meh, rational fans had every right to be critical of him honestly. We were terribly inconsistent and in danger of the NIT again. He has righted the ship and deserves major props for that though. Really proud of him and the team.

well said. Very fun to watch recently and not the typical Martin ball we have seen. I have a hard time believing fans here don't see a difference on both ends of the court, sub patterns, pts scored, etc, and intensity on defense, all from being aggressive instead of passive as we were too often.
Maybe one shot clock issue tonight that I remember.

I saw a CCM fist pump at the end of the game. Not as extravegant as my celebration, but it was still nice to see.

Exactly, it's a different team in every facet of the game, coaching and players. I keep seeing, "the players finally bought in" but that doesn't tell the whole story and down plays Zo's improvement some. Like you said, better sub patterns, better clock management, and the press no longer freaks us out, pick n rolls are defended better, we attack the zone better. It's been an absolute joy to watch this team and Coach improve.

So it is possible for a young coach to learn on the job and improve? Learn from his mistakes and adapt to new things?

The team went the way Stokes and McCrea went so everyone focused their D on those two. Now with Richardson asserting himself on both ends its just given this team a real spark. I mean Maymon's hitting free throws people!! I can truly see them beating Michigan if they keep playing defense. The Wolverines really love the 3 ball (made 14 yesterday) so McCrea, Burton and Richardson have to have the defensive games of their lives. Misses got to be one and done possessions and then just pound them inside. This team has a real shot at an Elite 8! Who could have thunk it?

At this point it's icing on the cake. He got his team to show up for three games. The last two they had excuses not to, and dealt a butt whooping instead.

With a little luck, no reason Michigan can't toss up some bricks and get us a shot at Kentucky (my prediction)
