Hes the only non-president or fallen soldier to be honored on the mall and his family want $800k to let them do it? He didn't fight for civil rights to become rich. I think it's disgraceful

I don't assume to judge greed in others. Everybody is greedy. I'd hate to learn what VN posters would be willing to do for $800K. Would you take $800K to see the Vols go 0-12? Greedy mofo.

a libertarian should know better. there is a difference between greed and doing what is in your best interest.

It's not evil to admit self-interest is some form of greed. Imo, man is inherently selfish. For example, regardless of what any of you think of me - my opinion of myself will not change.

Because my mom thinks I am cool. good day sir.

There is a big difference. Greed exceeds self-interest, and is exactly what is demonstrated by the King family by demanding that money.

Exactly. When I do something charitable I feel good. How do I know I didn't do it out of my greedy need to feel good?

haha. I would venture to guess 99.9% of donations to charity aren't done so because their name is going to be inscribed on a hospital.

I donate to charity and do so without any recognition. You think I'm greedy?
