Martin or Dooley

I guess losing one game with a below average roster means more to you than inheriting a garbage team and making the tournament with it.

I have no problem with CCM so far but the same thing pretty much happened to Dooley along with injuries to his best players.

No, but if we're going to crown a guy a great coach just because he got into the tournament, can't we also crown him a bad coach for losing to the likes of Austin Peay? I mean, if he's really that great, I think he could have figured out a way to pull that game out. Do you disagree with that logic?

lol Both of these coaches took over a messed up program. Dooley took over for Fulmer (who stopped recruiting) and Kiffin (who had everyone fooled with his crap) Martin took over for someone who lied to the NCAA. Now can not get a NCAA coaching job for 3 years. Then he and whatever school is dumb enough to hire him has to go in front of the NCAA and tell why they want to hire him. Bruce is done coaching in the NCAA.

I dis agree with the statement that Bruce is done coaching in the NCAA.
Nueheizer got a job after his mess ups at Colorado with prostitutes and strippers while recruits had official visits. Nuehizer had issues with gambling at Washington also. He got a job after that one too.
Price got at job at U.T E. P. after the"O Bama", Pensacola, Florida hotel issue.
Samson got a job at Indiana after the Oklahoma telephone issue.
I see Pearl coaching again, if he wants to..
He won't be a comentator for basketball on E.S.P.N. because B. Knight doesn't like him and won't allow Pearl to commentate at E.S.P.N. with Knight.
So, what does Pearl do when the Hackney job has run it's course? Commentate games on radio or t.v. or coach again????

All the sudden "the great conzo" isnt looking so great. Dont know about his coaching, but he is the most boring person i've ever listened to, and Ive had a few years of college history and economics. Thats saying something.

Cuonzo. Dooley is at least bringing in talent. Say what u will but Dooley is an ace recruiter and were he to be fired next year he would have left the roster aALOT better than he found it. Jmo, imo, tifwiw

Martin isn't bringing in talent? Hell the only reason we aren't playing with walk ons is because Martin got some good talent to join late last year.

Dooley. He's had 2 full seasons and has no good wins and one awful loss. Martin has only coached 8 games and had to take chances on a bunch of weakly recruited prospects just to field a team this year.

They remind me of each other. Neither has show anything to make one believe that either will be a successful coach. I guess that Dooley would get the nod, since he has had two seasons to show some modicum of coaching excellence but has failed to do so.

Look at Martin's tenure at Mizzou St.

Like I said, for now Dooley is worse because he has had two years to show his stuff. Martin has had 8 games. Not seen anything yet, but it is only 8 games. I could care less about Missouri State; I do care about UT, and I am waiting for the sign from Martin. One loss does not a season make, even one to AP. But no coaching genius has sparkled through yet.

Good thing that affects the outcomes of the games.

UT fans are so passionate that the past three consecutive home games the announcers have commented on the lack of cheering in TBA
