For me it’s either iron man 3, Thor 2, or black panther.
I liked Thor 2 and never understood the hate on it. Watched it again last night and still don’t get it. The villain is under developed but that is a problem with almost every Marvel movie.
Since I originally watched these with years In between I am getting different perspective on them as I go through it over the last few weeks.
If I were to put them in tiers:
T1: Can watch it over and over and not be tired of it.
IM, Thor, Cap FA, Avengers
T2: Would watch again if someone else wanted to.
Thor 2, IM2
I
T3: I hope I never have to sit through it again.
Hulk, IM3
Next up is CA:WS which I know is going to be T1.
My wife and I just went back and watched them all in order, and we ranked them as we went. I hadn't seen some in a long time. My list turned out a lot different than I expected.
Agreed. X-Men would be hugely popular. I thought the casting for the originals was spot on, and my only concern would be how they cast the series. If Marvel handles the casting correctly coupled with halfway comic accurate costumes the X-Men franchise would rival the Avengers monataraly for Disney. IMO
I think it was better than Hulk, as good as Thor and CA, worse than IM. But better than IM2 (sticking to P1 movies).
Almost watched that tonightI agree except I have IM pretty even with CA and Thor. I would really be hard pressed to pick a favorite between those 3.
Aside from a few moments Hulk was a big disappointment. It tried to be too serious where the others struck a balance between serious and fun. I’ve never understood the reluctance to let the Hulk talk more. Glad that finally changed in Ragnarok.
IM2 has some warts but overall still enjoyable.
Wrapping up Phase 2 and update if tiers
T1: Can watch it over and over and not be tired of it.
IM, Thor, Cap FA, Avengers, Cap WS, GotG, Ant-Man
T2: Would watch again if someone else wanted to.
Thor 2, IM2, Avengers AoU
T3: I hope I never have to sit through it again.
Hulk, IM3

I remember a lot of people feeling let down by AoU. The biggest problem I had with it was the stupid Banner/Black Widow “let’s run away together” sub plot. I didn’t like it when I first saw it and I don’t like now. It did not work. So glad the Russos just glossed right past it in IW. The other complaint was Ultron being too jokey which I agree didn’t sit right with me back when I first saw it. But after watching it this time, I realized that was just a bit of MCU Stark’s personality coming through. It made more sense after the movie tweak that Stark made the AI instead of Henery Pym. So while I still didn’t love it, I at least understood why they went that direction
Ant-Man is on the cusp of Tier 2 but Paul Rudd is so likeable and the movie is just a lot of fun. My kids are alllllll about some Ant-Man now. Freaking Ant-Man LOL.
Heading into Infinity War so time for a tier update:
T1: Can watch it over and over and not be tired of it.
IM, Thor, Cap FA, Avengers, Cap WS, GotG, Ant-Man, Cap CW, GotG 2, Ragnarok, BP
T2: Would watch again if someone else wanted to.
Thor 2, IM2, Avengers AoU, Dr Strange, SM Homecoming
T3: I hope I never have to sit through it again.
Hulk, IM3
Just got done re-watching everything (save the Spiderman movies) in the MCU. I think when one watches them in "chronological" order, they make a lot more sense and you can see how everything ties together and "why" certain things are happening in the previous films.
If I had to rank them (in no particular order):
T1 (watch it time and again no problem): All the Captain America series, Avengers, Avengers IW, Avengers Endgame, Thor Ragnarok, Iron Man, Ant-Man
T2 (entertaining and worth a second look): Thor, IM2, Doctor Strange (they do better with that character in Avengers IW and EG as well as the cameo in Ragnarok), Guardians and Guardians 2, Avengers Ultron (it's better on the second watch), BP, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Thor 2
T3 (Watch for continuity sake and little else): Captain Marvel, IM3, Hulk
I really need to watch the Spiderman series just to get caught up.
I do like the Ant-Man series because it moves away from the "Tony and Howard Stark are the smartest men ever, like for all time!" dialog. Plus, I'm a huge fan of Michael Douglas and found him perfect for the role of Hank Pym.
I never bought in on Ed Norton as the Hulk. Ruffalo did a far better performance and was more "believable."
Still not completely sold on Iron Man 3. I do like how they made Stark "mortal" in that movie by taking away his suit for a while.
Captain Marvel... oh boy. I kinda liked the spunky attitude of Brie Larson as a younger, brash superhero for a bit, but it got old kinda fast. Really don't like what they did to her in Endgame (from the little part she played). Loved Rocket's quip from Endgame "What? Are you going to get another haircut?"
