You guys had me fooled for a minute. I actually thought you meant the WR for the Colts. The WR that was always quite and kept to himself, the one who's never talked above a whisper. The one that wouldn't talk back to a fly.

hahaha

I saw this on sports center, and there was a radio host from philly that was breaking the news to the NFL Live people, he said...and I quote

"People at the scene said Harrison got into a fight with a person at the club and beat him up pretty badly, he had hands like a ninja"

I can't make this up

The evidence does not look good. :(

The source said the alleged victim came into the bar, Playmakers, around 5 p.m. and engaged in an argument with Harrison, who was at the bar. The victim then left the bar, heading to his car, with Harrison following. Gunfire broke out, the victim was hit in the hand, and a young girl was slightly injured by flying glass from a car that apparently was hit by a bullet.

Police came to scene, but the victim did not identify a shooter. On Wednesday, according to the source, ballistic tests showed that the gun that had fired the shots was a custom-made Belgian weapon, and police determined that Harrison owned such a gun.

Police then went to a Philadelphia car wash owned by Harrison to question him about the gun. Harrison admitted owning such a weapon, but claimed it never left his suburban Philadelphia home.

However, the source said the gun was discovered in a bucket at the car wash, and tests showed that it had fired seven bullets that matched those found at the scene.

I heard on the radio the gun was a .50 calibre pistol. Serious firepower right there.

He isnt being arrested or charged yet. He is gonna be questioned.

This is weird though. I can barely ever remember hearing Marvin speak. He doesn't seem like the type. I guess they all have it in them though.

I guess when you hold it gangsta style, a custom made Belgian .50 cal handgun is no more accurate than your average, cheap Raven.

according to espn Harrison has not been arrested nor is he a suspect. i heard the police did not respond imediatly because there was a bank robbery in which three cops were killed

Knowing CBC for almost 15 years, I would venture to guess he meant all athletes and particularly football players in the instance. I could be wrong though. :hi:

I was really curious to hear what the antecedent to that pronoun was intended to be.

From a football standpoint, this probably doesn't hurt the Colts any, and if anything is probably good. Harrison sure wasn't doing anything to help them last year, and mysterious injuries to 36-year-old football players are never good. He probably wasn't coming back anyway. It will probably end up being better for the Colts to get him out of the way and move on. Dumb way to go out for Harrison, though.

I have not heard this at all. It would be hard to walk away from that contract he has.

Sorry, that wasn't clear. I didn't mean that he wouldn't be playing again at all; I meant that he's probably never going to be close to the same player again. The Colts needed to be adjusting to life without Marvin Harrison anyway.

Harrison is likely done with the NFL if this goes through. Its surprising since he was thought to be such a great guy.

Well right now everyone is jumping to conclussions without any hard facts. Yes, I'm a diehard Colts fan so my thoughts are one sided at this point. What we do know is "limited" since all of it has been pretty quite for such a possiably large story. I think the fans,NFL and national media is going easy on this story right now because of the type of guy Marvin is...by that I mean he is highly regarded around the NFL as one of the nicest and quitest guys around. It sounds like he was definatley involved in a altercation but it's way out of line to put the gun in his hand at this point.
