Lock and load folks. Everybody has got to develop situational awareness, especially in the current environment. Don’t overload your hands and arms. That beverage in her hand straight into his face startling him would have bought her a split second of reaction time. She was completely oblivious to him walking purposely towards her.

Oh come on you are smart enough to see what’s going on. They know they will have no attendance this year. They will have a captive tv audience. Sports fans will come back quick once the pandemic is over. Boom took care of both issues. It’s a brilliant move by them. They will already have no gate this year. The last time people wrote them off they came back in droves. They will this time too once it’s out of the news cycle for a year.

If they continue this practice ..... it will definitely cause a reduction. This will piss off a lot of people.... people that have gotten used to not watching sports

That’s not what happened last time. And people miss normal. And that includes sports. They are in an impossible situation. Not pissing off a large part of your fan base and not pissing off you labor. In a business where labor drives the business it’s a tough call.

It really is.... kneeling is one thing, but a separate anthem? I can’t help thinking this will be ten times worse.

The NFL, as a private organization, has every right to play what they want, not play whatever they want, allow players to stand, kneel, enforce standing, kneeling. Whatever.

Their customers also have the right to be cool with their decision or get offended and stop watching. That's one of MANY things that makes this country great.

First, I wasn't that in love with the NFL anyway. To me it is way more boring than college football, which for me, has also become a little uninteresting recently. Second, I don't care if players have political opinions contrary to mine, but I am a little old school in that I prefer sports to remain a sanctuary from the world's problems. It should be an event where we can all celebrate something together regardless of political beliefs. But it is just becoming another platform to highlight differences, virtue signal, and chastise wrong thinkers. Maybe I'll watch some games, but right now I'm just not that into it.

My interest in the NFL has been waning, independent of politics. It's cratering due to the politicization of it. Itr seems like everywhere you turn these days, we're being force-fed strife, division, hatred. I'm just kind of over it. I'm much more into unifying voices, voices that draw and celebrate all of us.
