Bless her heart, she’s an idiot.
I have to wonder if she can tell the difference between a white baby, a light skinned black baby and a hispanic baby in the newborn nursery without any hints?
So does she think biracial children are half subhuman?
How would she scientifically explain white folks capable of tanning dark enough to be mistaken for hispanic or biracial with no blacks in the family tree?
I think the point many (not all) who make that argument are trying to make is that the huge volume of black-on-black, particularly the gang-related crime, is more representative about the kind of violence black people risk experiencing. At least statistically speaking. What BLM is concerned with, and many of them will openly admit this, is a particular type of violence. Specifically, white cops killing black people. Now, that happens nowhere near as often as other types of violence in the black community; that's just a fact. What BLM gets criticized for is focusing exclusively (and advancing a political narrative) on that type of violence while ignoring the elephant in the room. Remember, the organization is called Black Lives Matter, not "Black Lives Matter when they are killed by white cops."Its a nonsensical argument, that at its base is designed to minimize the value of black people: They kill each other, so before we should be bothered with worrying about it, they should protect themselves, first.
One has nothing to do with the other. Just because there is black on black violence does not make unjustified white on black violence ok. Any more than it makes black on white violence okay.
These concepts are all different. But they get blended together by people who do not want to face up to the problem we definitely have with racism in this country, directed towards black persons infinitely more often and effectively than against white persons.
Here's a hint: When you see Trump and this administration touting a line of thinking, you know it is grotesquely manipupated, turned on its head, and just dead wrong.
