Maryland vs. Penn State

Franklin is proving what anyone who pays attention to anything said about him- decent at best coach benefitting from a terribly weak division in his tenure at Vandy. He won't last long at Penn State.

I think you're correct. I wonder if Vandy would take him back in a couple of years. That would be interesting.

I imagine they would.

I have seen a number of PSU fans saying this has been the most embarrassing football year in their memories. Not including the outside stuff, obviously.

Yeah, they are already starting to get tired of his demands and are beginning to complain about the assistants he brought with him. But, he'll get a pass until they can rebuild the roster, so expect him to be at PSU for at least 4 years unless he gets an offer he can't refuse.

"We'll send you your personal effects; don't bother coming in for them."

I really don't have a vendetta against Franklin like most on here do but I do believe he was really good at smoke and mirrors. He caught a pretty stacked Vandy roster (stacked by Vandy Standards) he caught Tennessee with the worst coach in history, Florida was down, and they had scheduled the worst teams they possibly could. It was a perfect storm to pad a resume and he did.
