lol you're really going to include teams like cleveland, bearden, west, webb, fulton, etc? I'm an Ooltewah graduate and am not even that delusional to believe we play better football than they do in middle TN.

Fulton has 3 state championships this decade and a runner up in 2002 so yea I think that is a safe inclusion into the great East Tennessee football programs.:machgun:

The point I was making was that they'd get throttled by a big school from any area. Just like South Pittsburgh would.. so I think it's dumb to include anything under 5A really (with the exception of maybe Alcoa) due to talent differential.

That is the reason they have divisions. Keep talent levels equal. Not that this is an argument even worth having. I am still baffled that grown adults are arguing who in the state has better high school football like it matters.

very surprising result for them. that or very disappointing one for alcoa. thought AE was a fluke. this is NOT a fluke. GHS is for real

GHS owned Alcoa from the word go. Game was never close. Alcoa has some issues.

Thanks, Captain Obvious.

Who peed in your cheerios? Why the need to be a smarta$$ behind a keyboard? If we were having a talk at a bar and you didn't know me from Adam would you talk to me like that? Don't get these internet tough guys....I think it is perfectly valid to talk about the lower divisions as far as talent goes. A school having a lower populations does not automatically discount it from having talent. Still, I think these Middle vs East talent arguments are lame.

AE was a fluke. They held them to less than 100 yards. They gave that game away. As for the other two losses....they were beaten by more talented teams. No shame in that. I see them finishing the year strong. 7-3 and a playoff run. Probably not going to win it all, though.

Maryville scored more in one half then they could score in the entire game. When Patton went down, so did the offense and everyone from Maryville knew that. But, Smyrna still couldn't beat Maryville. There is no comparison between the two programs, Maryville will prove that again this year if Smyrna can even make it back.

I don't care what anyone say's, East Tennessee, knoxville area to be more precise, is where Tennessee high school football lives

You should really visit other stadiums before posting ignorant rants.

How about we stop arguing over where the best high school football is being played, and start discussing how we keep the best players wearing orange at the next level. We have great football in the Knoxville area and in the Murfreesboro area. Problem is, teams like Ole Miss are coming in and recruiting very good players.

GBO!
