Mashack still isn’t a great offensive player

The thread title is fine.

I wish the rest of the team would play with the same offensive tenacity as consistently as Mashack does. If the first six did that, we would undoubtedly have at least 3 less losses imo. Mashack is going to be great if he continues finding his offense.

Team played a bit more up tempo after collecting the rebound, fits Mayshack's strengths a little better, the slow walking the ball up the court into a settled in defense didn't do anybody in a struggling offense any good, Marshack moved around very well tonight, actually went toward the goal on numerous occasions

No, it actually isn't fine. You saying its fine doesn't mean it is. Sorry.

With Mashack developing so well on both sides of the ball I think it’s safe to say, if all seniors leave, that 3/5 of our starters are potentially set. Maybe more than that. I think, with the current makeup of this team, that Zeigler-Mashack-(not sure, Phillips if he stays)-Awaka-Aidoo. Could argue there aren’t enough scorers in that 5, which is absolutely fair. I truly think Estrella could be an absolute game breaker for us next year too, so we could be really solid next season as well. I like all the players we have coming in next season. I still count Dillione with next years class too, but this half season with this team is very important for him. I also really love the players returning. Next years team will just be so much more athletic. May have growing pains early in the year, but I think next years team’s ceiling is so much higher.

He is certainly playing his best ball in his brief career. His willingness to attack the paint is appreciated. Defense has always been rock solid and he give just about anyone fits. The fact he is facilitating at point a bit is surprising. Nice to see as he works hard. Needs to learn to drive left however as he goes right almost exclusively.

Barnes stayed in his chair after his post game interview. Then he messed with Jamai while he was doing his segment. Tugged on his chin hair while JM was talking. JM didn’t miss a beat.

Mashack is still growing offensively in terms of overall skill, but he is playing with a lot of confidence and has clearly improved. He has the athleticism to get to the rim at will which is something that most of Tennessee’s backcourt is unable to do.

He is only going to get better as the game continues to slow down for him and as he learns to play more under control off the bounce.
