Late twenties, perfectly healthy, and I don’t live scared.

Not a single mask in this house. Wouldn’t shop in a store that made me wear one when I can just order online for cheaper.
That's fine if you dont want to wear one, I get it. I dont wear one in public. But to say you'd rather get the virus than "look dumb" is just well....dumb.

If you mask and de-mask that often, you are putting your hands by your face quite a bit. Or contaminating the mask that you’ll be breathing through each time you touch it.

You’re making me touch my face right now.

The masks are to keep your own germs from spreading, you can still pick up germs from other people.

It depends on the type of mask you are wearing. Regardless, wearing any type of mask can lessen your chances of catching the virus from other people as compared to not wearing one at all.

They provide some protection but the CDC’s recommendation was to more about preventing you from transmitting to others than protecting from others. If asymptotic people wear a mask they arent spreading it to others. Its not about living in fear of getting it.

Yes, but that can be misleading to some. In all truth, if an asymptomatic person is wearing a non N95 mask they are still spreading it but it's greatly reduced.

You should consider wearing it going through the fast food drive-through. Sometimes they can open those windows and a gush of air comes flying out the window into your car.

I am ashamed to admit I have not worn a mask or gloves in public at all. Granted, the grocery store is the only place I've been going besides the office, but I do usually feel bad walking past elderly people. I've been expecting some mean glares, but people have been nice for the most part in Knoxville (in my experience anyway).

I do when the situation calls for it. I keep one in the car and wear it if I need to go in somewhere that social distancing is difficult. I don't worry about it when I go for a walk or play disc golf. But at the grocery store or Lowes....you bet.

Is that an Ood(telepathic race) mask from Dr Who?
It's Chthulu. I bet I could make it work for an Ood though. Just need a black jumpsuit and a ball with a tube coming off of it. I'll have to remember that at Halloween.

I wash my hands, don’t touch my face, and don’t come close enough to anyone else that I feel like I need one but I’m clearly in the minority where I live. Basically everyone at the grocery and other stores have masks.

same here, but im in that dead granddad ward

. last time i was out in public was out=of-town trip to doctor on day that they started to shut down the state.

ever since I walk at least an hour a day to battle back from stroke in july and second operation and bone marrow graft on arm that i broke early in 2019.

wife makes runs for food and drink and is seeing masks almost solely on "old folks" as our state's infection rate rises to new highs and the church of football nears

thought i would crawl in hole when bball tourneys and spring training were scuttled and only looks at sports have been nfl draft and 5 or 6 documentaries.

blessed that i can enjoy good writing, craft brews, music, movies and the videos we receive from son and his wife of their grandson young boys (ages 2 and 3 1/2) who are 8 hours from here.

breaking a bad habit of watching finebaum helps, too

but, yeah, ive gotta get out soon, and it will be first time since a haloween past that i'll put on a mask,

go vols

According to NIH, the average person touches their face 23 times/hour!

First time in my life I can be proud to be below average. Us contact lense wearers are going to survive this ordeal.

Here it appears to be about 50/50 on folks wearing them in public. Shockingly more younger wearing them than older folks.

At Kroger on Fri afternoon its was about 60/40 wearing to not. That was the biggest amount I’ve observed but I haven’t been to many shopping places of late.

I do get annoyed by people wearing them under their nose. Just dont even bother.
