Massive Letdown?

Considering his recruiter (Drayton?) was fired I don't see how it could be considered a "Massive letdown". However, if he goes elsewhere for this reason, he wasn't "all-Vol" anyway.

IMO This is a "gravy" year in recruiting. CLK and staff get a pass no matter what, due to the circumstances. Anything they can do in this short amount of time will just add to what is surely to come in future seasons. The recruiting resume of this staff speaks for itself.

I got a good feeling about signing day.But i keep thinking with what we already have playing we arent exactly handicapped.throw in acouple freshmen ready to play we could have a good year i think.all we need to happen is the d line to get a little deeper.

Although I agree with your opinion I get the feeling that CLK and staff have too much pride to just be happy with what they got. These guys are busting their tails and are trying to pull in previously overlooked recruits. I think a good example of this is telling 2 highly rated qb's that they should look elsewhere instead of padding their stats, so to speak.

You got it, and I think we will be surprised with this years class.

Enough with the negativity. Just sit back and enjoy the next week or so. Make your judgements after NSD.

It probably means about as much as it does that Alshon met with Kiffin and came out smiling... but I have heard that they hit it off

And in response to someone earlier they are right, Marlon wouldn't be here if Fulmer was still the coach. That is 100% true.

Does anyone else think it will be a massive letdown and major reputation blow for Kiffin and Co. if Marlon Brown signs with UGA or Ole Miss?

He's made such a big deal out of fencing in the state, he's made at least 3 visits to Brown, and then the #1 in-state, undecided prospect STILL goes elsewhere?

I think it would be quite a body blow.

Heck no Kiffin is in a no-lose situation. If the class is less-than-stellar its because of the transition, etc.. if the class is great he is a miracle worker. Same applies to any one individual recruit.

It would only be considered a let down in a conversation amongst a circle of fools.:neener2:

i think that kiffin knows this year is not going to be a s fruitfull because he hasnt been able to show any potential recruits what this staff can do on the field with its players......but we will give them hell next year?....thoughts???
