Down by a score, but that offense showing out so far at Maryland. 20-24, 181 yards and a Td. I don't think that was just our secondary being terrible. Matt Johnson is legit.

But Maryland kept them in front of them and only gave up 6pts in the half

That's the approach we need today.

Give up passing yards. Stuff the run and avoid the big play

I think that adjustment was already made at halftime of that game.

We have to continue the improvement made in the 2nd half of BGSU.

Maybe but from what I saw we kept playing press coverage all over the field in the 2nd half. Our offense just kept the ball away and they had the one huge fumble.

In addition Maryland is actually playing some zone coverage. They have 2 deep safeties. They're mixing up coverage. In essence they're actually trying. I think our coaches intentionally tried to not show much cause they knew we could outscore BG.

Watch and see how good we look today.

Most reputable "experts" said multiple times before the BG game that we would win by 3 touchdowns but "don't expect Bowling Green not to at least score 3 touchdowns as well".

I'm hoping that's the case.

My one concern is that UM has gotten pressure on him with some regularity. But except for some unforced BGSU would be winning.

One thing I noticed watching our game again -
Their receivers would run at about 90%.
Near ball release, they would give a light push off/make our coverage look for the pass.
Then hit full stride. I hate our guys fell for it so many times but
at least it's an easy correction.

Now our pass rush:dunno:

Johnson is up to 256 yds. But Maryland keeps getting a ton of pressure on him. What is it 5 sacks now?

I'm confident in saying Johnson throws the deep ball as good as anyone in college football. That last pass was beautiful.

You use blue font but he does look like a future NFL QB.

Well, he's rated as the 31st best QB prospect in his class right now so... no. He does not look like a future NFL QB. Just because he shredded UT's secondary doesn't make him good.

I agree with D4H. We showed nothing to OK last week. We played with a Pop Warner playbook and won by 30.

OK is about to get boat raced in Neyland.
