Matt Luke; Recruiter Extraordinaire

Listening to Birmingham sports show today and a recruiting guru from rivals was telling the host that Tennessee was now rated second in the nation for this years class. He attributed this to not only Trooper Taylor but said the rising star, as far as recruiters, is the young tight ends coach (Luke).

My daughter's boyfriend had met him at a family gathering and said he was gung-ho Tennessee guy and has a lot of charisma. Hope we can keep him for a while.

I've slammed Fulmer plenty, but both Luke and Taylor were good hires.

Luke is also the 'recruiting coordinator' so that was what some of the praise was based on. Not just who he gets credit for.

I have to give Fulmer credit as well for hiring those 2. If you cant coach , at least surround yourself with people that can

The other good hire that isn't getting his due is Greg Adkins

Exactly. The boy (Fulmer) may just be putting together a staff that can make a run at some championships. I do think he needs one more good defensive assistants.

you've lost me here.

wasn't Adkins the offensive line coach under Donnan at GA? I don't remember GA having a very good offensive line doing that time.

I didn't think UT was very good last year along the offensive line either. So why so high on Adkins?
