No...

"Kelly joined Rivers on the All-Tournament team along with Jason Clark (Georgetown), Tim Hardaway (Michigan) and Thomas Robinson"

That's a load of ****. Maymon should be on that list.

Really? He played two minutes in the last game. I would like to think the selections are based on all three games, even if the one missed is a chump team.

I would rather they skip the all-selection team in favor of finding Russian refs circa 1982 who have never heard of Duke. How do they not call that travel(s?) at the end is a joke.

It's Duke the rules don't apply, seriously, the top tier teams always get the calls. I think some of it is the coach and the rest may be they just seem to make their breakes. Either way that no call was blatent as could be.

Surely to GOD, no one is stupid enough to think Duke is undefeated 15-0 all time in Maui because they are that much superior to all the other teams that have played there. UK and UNC get calls galore in their games too, but even they pale in comparison to Duke. It's laughable really. If I were coach I would refuse to play them unless, you're matched against them in the NCAA tourney or in their conference, in which case you would not have a choice. Even then, I would probably get ejected, because I wouldn't stand for all the BS calls the refs give them. It's pathetic.

That's right. Duke actually sucks; it's been a 30 year long conspiracy.

I can say they aren't a top ten 10 this year. Maybe 16 or so.

You are right. Duke definitely sucks. Maymon is head and shoulders above anyone on their roster. No one on this board would trade anybody that plays for Tennessee for anyone at Duke cause they are all soft. They do not have great shooters who hit the shots that are created for them thru good offense. They don't have big men who held their own with Thomas Robinson who is considered on of the top 2 or 3 bigs in the nation. They didn't have complete control of Michigan nearly the whole game and shoot less free throws yet still beat Kansas. In other place in the world but Durham and Maui, Duke would have lost all 3 games. I guess everyone just overrates Duke because they are a bunch of rich pretty boys and their parents and Coach K buy out the refs and the polls.

And no the teams that had Grant Hill, Elton Brand, Jay Williams, Carlos Boozer, Mike Dunleavy, Kyle Singler, and others should have never won the tournament either. It wasnt like they were ever on very good teams by any means.

Duke just gets EVERYTHING handed to them.

No I just think its clear that everyone on here talking smack about Duke clearly does not understand basketball very well. You don't experience all the success Coach K does by getting calls all the time. He has not been paying the refs for 30 years. They flat out win ball games. But as always everyone hates greatness.

Love Duke's system and fundamentals. That being said they do get a ton of calls because of their coach and success. It is what it is. It doesn't diminish their run of domibance but its sickening a team averages 32 fts a game in college.

A couple of the fouls called on Golden that kept him on the bench against Duke were some of the worst phantom calls I've ever seen. I can't think of many teams outside of Duke anywhere or Kentucky at Rupp that get those calls.

Are people still whining about the refs. Dear lord. You all say Duke should be tougher and quit whining...hey pot - quit lecturing the kettle!

Move on. Our team did.

They're not very good, IMO. If the refs were to get their heads out of Duke's metaphoric ass, they wouldn't be undefeated in Maui this year.

Maybe the refs could have kept Taylor from turning the ball over eleven times...?

Duke sure doesn't look like an Elite 8 team to me so far this season. I'd like them to be, because it would mean that the Maui field was probably tougher than a lot of critics want to believe, but Duke's got some glaring holes in its game. Any number of teams are capable of making elite 8 runs, so it's not out of the question, but Duke doesn't look like a probable elite 8 team. Too many questions in the back court.

Please tell me about these questions in the backcourt

1. Who does Duke have to match up with an athletic swingman? Harrison Barnes, Kidd-Gilchrist, etc.

2. What is going to happen to S. Curry when he's forced to stick an opposing point guard who is actually a point guard?

3. How is Duke going to play against other top 10 teams now that they have arguably the slowest, least athletic front court they've had in a decade?

Duke is yet to show me a convincing win over a top 10 team, and the deficiencies in their back court are glaring.

Duke is going to Ohio State tomorrow night. A. Craft is going to eat Curry's lunch.

In defense of Duke, if the twins, Kelly, and Curry play to their potential and if Rivers matures and plays to his potential by the end of the season, they have the ability to make a deep run.

Also, don't sleep on Alex Murphy. If Coach K can groom that kid by the end of the season, he will be able to match up any other forward in the nation.
