He actually played pretty well, after a couple of poor passes, the drive with the Trey Smith penalty stalled out and we ended up getting only 3, but he made a heck of play to get us an easy field goal. Jennings and Palmer both dropped some balls with their hands on it.

I don't want to take anything away from JGs performance, but the WR made some absolute circus catches 2nd half after dropping some easy ones.

I'll state the obvious.... The complete nonexistence of a running game does a freshman with a limited playbook no favors.

Good point.

They throttled the running game last night and think they opened the passing game up a little more with Guarantano.

Bruh! You shoulda hit the alumni association watch party.
Was in Atlanta with the wife. We decided to take a little weekend trip for our anniversary. We went to a Ocharleys last nite I thought maybe I could catch some of the game there, but the morons wouldn’t switch it from the Georgia Mizzou game.

They wanted to watch the Dawgs in Atlanta? Imagine that.

I said earlier that we would probably need JG to win at Lexington and it ended up being accurate

Practice reports noted he started slow with throws in the mire. Didn’t come out of it.
Close to end of game, camera got a shot of him quickly shaking his head... Looked like he was still trying to clear cobwebs or refocus... He may have something going on longer term.

He got no help from receivers early. Three drops in first quarter. They weren’t perfect throws but catchable. Make those catches and who knows?
JG's touchdowns were reminiscent of what he did last year in the 2 SEC games he actually won...throwing the ball where the receivers had to go up and fight to get it or no one gets it.

Still think Meower will be a good QB.

He is a freshman coming off injury.
I hope I'm wrong, just think Mower's ceiling = Worley.... definetely needs to earn his tats with a few more lbs though. Hopefully a full offseason will help

He's better than Worley who I think is the worst QB we've ever put on the field. BM is in need of weight and strength, that will help his development as much as anything.

Mowher definitely needs moor time in the wait room to add some good weight.

Hope we get a higher ceiling than Worley but time will tell.
