It is irrelevant. That score was not used to gain admittance to Memphis. They saw nothing wrong with it nor did the NCAA Clearinghouse.
Degree is legit. It is not unheard of for an inner city kid who barely gets into college to earn a degree. Especially an athlete who has probably more at his disposable to getting help. For the first time in most of these kids' lives, they have someone making them go to class, study hall, tutoring, etc. This is not unique to the U of M.
All I'm saying is that since it's obvious that he cheated on the SAT, it's fair to question the rest of his academic record. Someone else apparently took his SAT - that calls his integrity and honesty into major question. Cheating on something like the SAT isn't a minor transgression, IMO.
His work at Memphis may be legit, but given that 1-2 of Memphis' best players cheated on the SAT, I think it's fair to probe into the academics at UM. After what UGA was involved in under Harrick, nothing will surprise me anymore.
