a friend of mine unfortunately a Bama fan just said that the news out of the state is Gus is on his way to Texas and it is almost a done deal. Rumor or not I cannot answer but thought it was worth meantioning because this one I have not heard.

That would actually be a smart move for him to take it.

Malzahn is just as likely to go to Texas as Saban is.

Neither is going to happen.

Gus is from Texas.

But has MB even stepped down yet, said he's stepping down or been fired yet? Doubt he's hired before an announcement on Mack is made.

Read the article. She says they're staying. Last stop.

Keep hoping. This ride won't end for a while. The dynasty's about half-way through.

Wishful thinking by your Bammer friend. Gus is going to have AU competing for the west for years to come IMO.

Then you can find the next bandwagon to jump on.

I've been a fan since the early seventies. I was watching them win championships long before you were born. I'm a fan of all Bama sports.

Another quote for you:

“We’re staying,” Terry Saban told The Wall Street Journal’s Sharon Terlep in an interview last week. “We’re not going anywhere.”

It makes sense that he would stay to see whether he can win it all in the new playoff format. Of course everything could get sideways in the iron bowl.
