Bob & Bert said they're holding him out w/ knee injury; but is expected to play next game, assuming....

No need to warm up--it was in the 70s today.

We're seeing how important Maymon is to this offense--struggling to score at home against Savannah State.

If he's really hurt, the NIT bid just became even better for us. I see an early NCAA exit without him.

Who said we'd lose 1st round
IMO that's a "loser mentality", you go in expecting to win. If we had got ok we'd have likely been a 12 in a play in gane, and VCU went to the final four from that position just last year.

Ask iona if they'd prefer the NIT after they lost last night....

How did you feel last year getting the piss beat out of us by Michigan?

Better than I do about being in the NIT.

As I said, what do you think Iona's response would be if you asked that since they lost would they have just preferred going to the NIT instead?

Where you could also lose 1st round, nothing is a given in either tournament. VCU was one of the last in last year, and went to the final four. On the flip side Georgetown gets beat by a 14 just a couple years ago. Point being you don't know what's going to happen in either tournsment, you could lose in the 1st round of either one.

What would be more embarrassing, a 1st round loss last night in the NIT, or a 1sf round loss to Michigan last year?

Well obviously a loss to Savannah St. would have been worse. but we didn't lose and we got a lot of guys valuable playing time that is going to pay dividends for us next year. think long term.
