McBee's buzzer beater

What? Are you talking about. Why would other teams try not to let him get a 3 off if he sucked at shooting the rock?
And by your measure, a player shouldn't get better from his freshman year as a walk on to a scholarship Jr player. Mcbee had a good year on both ends of the court, but you call it one game, want to ignore the year, but not ignore his first 2.

No sarcasm intended. You need to study the game a little.

Can you teach me professor and where do you get pick up a pair of those Mcbee love goggles? A career 35% shooter is a 35% shooter and in other words, not good. Study that

Why don't you ask CM and other SEC coaches if he can play or not, as well as sportscasters who have played college and pro ball.

Then tell them they don't know wtf they are talking about as well.

If you watched the games this year then you know that other teams most of the time had one man to stay with McBee and to not even give weak side help defensively, but, to stay with McBee regardless. So other coaches besides our own saw a threat in him, go back and watch the tapes. GBO

Don't you know? D1 SEC coaches always ask their worst player to D up on the nations leading 3 point shooter and always go to their worst shooter, i.e. "mcbrick" to try to tie the game.

There are so many people on this site that are uncapable of being objective about coaches or players, and know little about sports. It's a dangerous mix.

Winner^
Keep hating Stoerner. McBee will keep locking down teams best shooters and making threes when we need him to.

Maybe you should study the OP:

Could have been the shot legends are made of if they could have finished with a W. My daughter was crying she was so happy. I'll still never forget that shot and what could have been. McBee's 3 kept us in the game proud of the kid from Rutledge. A true VFL! GO VOLS!

The shot would have been legendary. The shot.

You kept this thread going by arguing against something that wasn't in the original post. He didn't say McBee would be legendary. He said the shot could have been legendary if we had finished with a win.

Timely shooting , it's difficult to win with out it. Knocking down FTS' or hitting a "J" . :peace2:

I have zero hate for the kid. Hes a Vol therefor I root for him on a personal level and as an basketball player but I dont let that distort who he is. I also dont hate others that think hes a legend, I just think we should reserve that term for someone deserving.

Can you at least admit that he has turned into a pretty decent basketball player? "Legend" may be taking it a bit too far, but he has played very well this year on both sides of the ball.

I'll second this question. IMO they Gould have tried to feed him a few more times once he got the hot hand in the overtime, rather than lettin McRae drive and turn the ball over repeatedly.

Hindsight, but he should have played more in the first half. It became obvious that mccrae was going to have a bad day and Richardson didn't do much. We needed shots to fall and mcrae was off early.

Yep. I thought that would give us ALL of the momentum going into OT. Then we score the first two points in OT, and then ...#%!+%#!!!!!

Did you see the bench after that shot?!?! And McBee acting like it was all in a day's work. I just knew we had the game.

Someone who gets it. "Heros live on but legends never die"
